I can't wait to see a real singer on stage. Mariah Carey was on this week, and her performance just shows that she pretty much croons nowadays. No whistle note anymore.

Leona has a great voice and all and deserves a lot of praise for that...but has anyone ever seen her do interviews? Poor girl has no discernible personality whatsoever; she comes across as a square.

Oh and her album (aside from Bleeding Love) is kind of blah.

Yeah...love me some Leona but she is sooo shy. And it comes through in her interviews.

But I think she's starting to open up more and more. Did anyone see her interview with Tyra? She was really funny.

And her radio interviews are really funny too.

I want to like her. She's seems very genuine and sweet but she's too damn boring. With all the money they put into building her album they shoulda brought her a personality. She's still not as vacant as Beywoulf but she's not a dynamic performer like Beyonce is so she needs to make up for it.

THAT WAS BEYOND INCREDIBLE, IT STARTED OUT A LITTLE IFFY, MAYBE SHE WAS NERVOUS BUT THEN I STARTED TO CONNECT WITH HER AND THE SONG AND WE JUST BECAME ONE SO WHEN SHE WENT FOR THE HIGHNOTE I DID IT TOO, IT WAS SO AWESOME.


AND SHE LOOKED SO BEAUTIFUL.

I THOUGHT SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH MY TV BUT I GOT THAT FEELING IN SOME PARTS OF HER PERFORMANCE BUT I THINK IT WAS LIVE. I CANT SEE ANY REASON WHY SHE WOULD LIP SYNCH THE SONG, NO REASON AT ALL.



ALSO WHEN SHE FIRST APPEARED SHE LOOKED A LITTLE LIKE CELINE DION.

Did anyone just catch her on American Idol? Was it me or did it sound like she was lip synching?? It just sounded EXACTLY like how I'd heard it on the radio. I dunno, what do you think?

Well it couldn't be just like the recording because the first half of the song was a completely different arrangement. She had no drumming behind her.

I thought she sounded live. But let me listen to it again.

But I doubt it was lipsycnched. If Mariah didn't lip, Leona didn't.

At first i was worried that they would give her crappy material and if i was managing her i would have made her do a cover album of all the songs she sang on X Factor just so Americans can get see how incredible she is; that way when she does he first solo album it would be a success.

I don't quite like the name of the song but the song itself is good. I hope she has songs where she is allowed to just belt out the high notes. She is brilliant at that.

I listened to it again and :( i really don't think it can crack billboard top 10, which is so unfortunate. It took forever to finally get a single out and this is the best Clive Davis or whoerver is managing her could get. I mean its a nice song, but it isnt a song to start a persons career IMO.

Time will tell if America will embrace her.

I can honestly say that I knew from the time she sang 'Summertime', she would be huge! I'm sooo glad I was right!
