Lettin' Go

I'm in the USAF and I've had to let go of some of the best relationships I've ever had. It sucks, really, it does suck. It feels like the world is going to end, but you start over in the new place that they send you.

The only drawback is that it makes your heart a little harder to get into, y'all know what I mean. You don't want to open up to the new people so much, because you could be gone in a few months.
 
Me, too. Letting go is never easy for me to do, especially if it involves another person or a beloved pet.
 
I can never let go.

Most times it's pried from my fingers/hands/life with me kicking and screaming. It's actually quite sad.
