  • Hi Guest - Did you know?

Levis goes both ways

oh wow! i've seen the straight version aired several times and kept thinking to myself how hot that guy is! i had no idea there was a gay version! w00t! :D

oh wow! amazing.. I didn't know about the gay version, only saw the straight one aired so many times..hehe it was getting boring too. I have to agree, the guy in the phonebooth is extremely hot!

Why didn't they hold hands at the end? :(

.....

according to the article, it's being aired only on Logo channel. but it may eventually show up on additionally gay friendly channels such as Bravo.

I read alot of the comments posted under the msnbc article. There's still alot of frighteningly hateful homophobes out there.

Two things:
  1. When was the last time anyone actually saw or used a phone booth?
  2. I really liked "Average Janes" comment to that blog:
Saying you do or don't 'tolerate' or 'accept' homosexuality is about as relevant as tolerating or accepting a sunny day or green grass or blonde hair. It's just one of the many ways sexuality is expressed by living beings. Go take a google around any decent science publication and you'll see just how many of 'god's creatures' exhibit gay behavior and haven't died out yet. Just look at Bonobos for instance.

Tolerating homosexuals/lefties/black people gets you diversity and a richer life.

Tolerating religious bigotry gets people burnt at the stake, denied civil rights, dragged behind trucks, beaten to death, careers ruined, relationships broken, etc.

Tolerating silly commercials means the battery must be dead on your remote.

Wise people will not tolerate a belief system that has as it's basic tenets the death and destruction of other people just for being different. Our species has a long history of killing the 'other' for all kinds of reasons, the biggest one being religion. About time we evolve beyond that, don't you think?

We should tolerate people's right to spiritual expression (which also seems to be a drive or instinct we're born with), as long as it doesn't interfere with the basic human rights of others. Just because a 'holy book' says so is NOT reason enough to cause so much woe to fellow humans.

Since I don't watch much TV I hadn't seen the straight version of this ad. I was very HAPPY to see the gay version. Fantastic.

Guess I'll be going back to Levis.

Hey, maybe they're just buddies. Two guys can't walk down the street together without being called fags? ;)

It is surprising that, in 2007, there are still so few mainstream companies making commercials specifically aimed at a demographic -- gay men -- that is known to have significant discretionary spending power.

They're just figuring this out? Yeesh.
