Saying you do or don't 'tolerate' or 'accept' homosexuality is about as relevant as tolerating or accepting a sunny day or green grass or blonde hair. It's just one of the many ways sexuality is expressed by living beings. Go take a google around any decent science publication and you'll see just how many of 'god's creatures' exhibit gay behavior and haven't died out yet. Just look at Bonobos for instance.
Tolerating homosexuals/lefties/black people gets you diversity and a richer life.
Tolerating religious bigotry gets people burnt at the stake, denied civil rights, dragged behind trucks, beaten to death, careers ruined, relationships broken, etc.
Tolerating silly commercials means the battery must be dead on your remote.
Wise people will not tolerate a belief system that has as it's basic tenets the death and destruction of other people just for being different. Our species has a long history of killing the 'other' for all kinds of reasons, the biggest one being religion. About time we evolve beyond that, don't you think?
We should tolerate people's right to spiritual expression (which also seems to be a drive or instinct we're born with), as long as it doesn't interfere with the basic human rights of others. Just because a 'holy book' says so is NOT reason enough to cause so much woe to fellow humans.
