Very touching and appealing--I wish the US were similar in that one way. Occasionally I received long, lingering looks that I could have interpreted as cruising, but I never responded in kind, or in any other manner, so I really can't say what was going on. Given what I understood of the laws there, I was wary of acting on hunches. My whole impression of the place was that nothing was truly as it seemed.
