Wal-Mart edits EVERYTHING on cd thats why this is the walmart edit...

I remember the Y2K bug like it was yesterday. That was almost a decade ago. An ENTIRE decade FLEW by in the blink of an eye. The 10 years that went by felt like ONE year. It felt like my childhood lasted 50 years! I am not the average kid waiting for 21 to come so I can drink. I wasn't excited about being 18. I wanna stay young.

I had so much fun when I was young. Pokemon... Sailor Moon... Furbies.. Beanie Babies.. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers... Super Nintendo/Sega Genesis/Nintendo64/ PlayStation 1.... Yo-Yo's... Spice Girls... Donna lewis.. Getting hit by the car and being handicapped for 6 months as my friends came to visit me.... Madonna was at her peak with Ray Of Light/Music/Evita/GHV2.... Cher's Believe album... Jumprope.. hop scotch.... hot wheels... barbie... sidewalk chalk... crayola crayons and coloring books.. trick or treat was MORE fun and more kids were out getting candy.... thinking Santa was actually REAL!

What I'd give to go back.... I want it back so badly and I'm NEVER gonna get it back. All the music on the radio is mostly fucking garbage.... One line gets sung.. and its repeated over and over for 3 entire minutes and mixed different ways.. voila a number one hit on the radio. All the hip-hop comes off as sounding like trashy thug music and too much sex is talked about all this bullshit about getting a lollipop ready and juice for ya... and seeking some blonde bimbo's pussy named Amy who also can't sing without a machine doing her work. Madonna is loosing her touch.. Cher won't do studio work anymore.. but I gotta give her credit she can sing live and blows these fucking hoes away that are on the radio today.. well I like Mariah, Leona, Katy, and Beyonce.

Why does life speed UP as you get older? You finally start to somewhat grow up at 18 and then you wanna enjoy the last few years of being a young adult/teen and God speeds it up on you so you CAN'T enjoy it. I wish Michale Jackson's Neverland WAS for real! I'd never leave.

I heard from others that the older you get... the faster it speeds up. Is this true?

"We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing."

-George Bernard Shaw

Because the longer you live the smaller each passing minute is in relation to your life so far.

^ The passing of time itself may not speed up, but your perception of its passing certainly does. That has been proved many times.

Yup - they have it - it is all about perception.

Think of it this way - if you are a 5 year old child, one year is a massive 20% of your total life experience - so a year seems like a V E R Y long time.

If you are a 50 year old adult - one year is a mere 2% of your total life experience - so a year doesn't seem like such a long time after all.

I try to cherish the past, live for the present, and plan for the future................

Like I told you in the other thread. It's time to grow up and be a man. Life isn't going to get any easier.

Get OVER IT!

Besides, when you get older you get more opportunities and learn more things. It's not all bad.

Life definitely seems to go faster as you get older. But information, entertainment, and technology is moving faster than ever now. Just a few years ago we didn't have Youtube, Myspace, iPods, and Blackberries. There's too much happening and too much to keep up with.

so how do we get our perception of time to SLOW DOWN?

By staring at the clock. If you just sit there and do nothing but watch the second literally tick away, time suddenly sloooooooooooooooows down immensely.

Of course, you won't have any fun doing it.

^ Indeed. My philosophy here is thus:
When does time seem to go slow? When you're bored or feeling bad.
When does time seem to go fast? When you're having a good time.
I prefer a good time over bad, so let time zip by when it wants to.

so how do we get our perception of time to SLOW DOWN?

You take time to stop and smell the roses, enjoy every minute of life that you come across. As has been mentioned, it is only our perception of time that changes. Time itself is constant. The trick is to adjust your perception to serve you rather than following meekly behind it as a little slave-boy.

I still don't understand what this thread has to do with WalMart...
