I think that you read Mrs. Phelps incorrectly. I have listened to her on gay podcasts. She is going strictly by the bible. And she believes that society is going to burn in hell for not living the word of the bible...so to speak...and I remember her mentioning that if we, as a society, are not going to live the by the bible that they might as well let gays marry because everyone will go to hell anyways. That is not word for word...but that is the gist of what I got out of hearing her speaking on Feast of Fun.

I of course do not support her but I think I understand her a little bit more. Sometimes I wonder if they are really trying to help the GLBT community by pushing the extremes.

Bottom line..while some anti-gay folks are self-loathing closet cases.. a large majority of them aren't. THey truly do hate and loathe us and Linda Harvey is at the top of the list.
