I've learned anything over the last thirty-some years, it's that NOTHING is a career-ending shot. Maybe murder. But the public is willing to forgive pretty much anything else.
Next moves for Ms Lohan:
* Go on Larry King and explain how distraught she is.
* Go on SNL and poke fun of her partying ways.
Then the public will see that she has "inner demons" and "at least she doesn't think she's better than everybody else". Then, once the public is back in her corner, she can act like a frightened kitten when the law comes her way, and her fans can rally to her side.

Why do these people not use drivers, cabs, limos, whatever, when they KNOW they can't stay off the drink and drugs? I don't care what they do to themselves, just stop threatening the public with a deadly weapon every time they party.

^^ - I agree. She knew she was on suspended license. Wouldn't cost her that much to hire a driver and buy a limo or a nice car. Now most likely she will enjoy a few weeks in jail.

Much cheaper to hire a driver in the long run, I would think. Remember the AbFab episode where Saffy makes Edina give up her driver and buy a small car instead - bit mistake! I guess they like the freedom of a fast car, however. They showed the mug shot of her on the local news this morning from Santa Monica (not far from where I live), and she's blond again, but had her mouth open looking stupid or a bit dazed.
I wonder if we will see a return of women's prison movies, like Girls Behind Bars, aka Mädchen hinter Gittern. I think there were a lot of B movies like that in the 1950s.
I'll have to make a point not to drive by the Santa Monica police station when Lindsay has to make an appearance there. It's on the way to the Third Street Promenade from my house.

So many opportunities, so many mistakes and yet she still laughs in the face of her second and third and fourth chances. There's so many young people in the world that would cut off their left arm to be given half of the opportunities she's been given, so it's hard to feel anything but contempt for the woman.

Can't say that I was surprised to hear about this. She dosent seem to care about her health or career at this point. A few big names in the biz have refused to work with her because she has become a brat.

I like Lohan, she seems like a sweet girl who just has a lot of issues she needs to work out. I hope she can find piece and get clean (though I don't think she has to stop partying entirely, I mean she's only 21 years old). Hopefully this doesn't ruin her career.

Can someone tell me why they don't completely revoke the licenses of repeat DUI offenders like this one? Driving is a privilege and if you're going to continue diregarding the law you should never be driving and putting lives in danger.
