The second image is interesting but not helpful without a detailing of the criteria used -- given that in the U.S., private prisons pay inmates forty cents or less per hour, I would include the U.S. as a country that has state-authorized forced labor.

BTW, the juxtaposition of the two images amounts to an endorsement of forced labor.

No, they were just two separate "facts", but you are free to construct a single one out of both

I assumed one of those three countries with forced labour in 2017 was the USA..? Yes, I am "wondering" Well, anyway, you can always say that all forced labour is actually free, since you are free to flee a country with forced labour legislation

Finally, about the "wishful thinking", I would say that all the lines in the quotes are wishful thinking, and that all quotes pretending to give reason of the problems of the world, are all nothing but wishful thinking.

In the officer's defense, Oregon cops aren't required to know federal law. I saw something very similar happen with a German visitor, in California, and the driver gave the officer the phone number for the German consulate just down the interstate -- the officer still issued a citation and said basically "Since you're going that way, take this to your consul guy!"
