What he means is what is it like around where you live? Do you live in the city, in a village, in a town? Are you near train tracks, bus routes, a busy highway?

I live in a small city near a somewhat busy road. I'm about a mile a half from the mall. I'm in a two family house with my parents. I don't really know my neighbors.

He lives in senior housing, near train tracks, and is around friendly people.

new york style loft in a beautiful, older area with gigantic mature trees, minutes away from downtown. a very unique 1,200 square foot commercial space on top of a small retail commercial building. no neighbours. one wall completely made of glass allows for massive amounts of natural light. it's a one of a kind place.

3700 sq foot 3 bed 2.5 bath center hall colonial, 2 acres, rural. one hour into NYC tho, which is nice.

Urban residential Seattle home, traditional but interesting (see nude bicyclists in the annual Solstice Parade!) neighborhood, three bedroom craftsman combines original charm with modern sensibilities. Lovely garden area includes stand-alone hammock.

Pictures please!

  • Small 1-bedroom
  • In older, brick building without vintage charm
  • In NW Portland, between the gentrified areas
  • My neighbors are mostly noisy and smelly
  • The heat only works some of the time
  • Near the street car
  • The rent's cheap and it's close to school and other important locations

Old farmhouse, 4 rooms + bathroom and pantry downstairs. Upstairs rooms, and unattached 2-car garage, all entirely used for storage.

On a minimally-paved road (north of me) three miles from city centre, 1.6 miles from nearest retail (population here is 20,000).

Gravel driveway about 400 feet long!

Neighbors are a few farmers.

This year the crops are corn on my east and south, soybeans on my west.

Very old house (ca. 1900?), was a "fixer-upper" when I moved in late 1987, but I never fixed it up, lol.
