lmao black people try vegan soul food

They are indeed entertaining.

Labs have been able to make soy protein into even convincing steaks for about 30 years now.

Of course, the trains that collide are not just soul food and vegan, but vegan inherently crashes into the parallel philosophy against processed foods. So, you are either left with raw foods and/or whole foods, or eating traditional cuisine that is highly processed food.

Vegan cuisine, like monasticism, won't attract many followers ever, as it exacts too high a price, and a break with family and traditional culture. Vegetarianism won't see the same issues because it allows for pescatarians, ovolactovarians, and the like.

No eggs, no dairy, no honey, and similar bans are simply too extreme for the majority.

The very concept makes me shudder.

right! it's like sugar free chocolate. who the fuck wants that?

Diabetics, but I'm pretty sure they still actually wish for the sugar content. I've had a couple vegan items before, they were surprisingly bland, what with all the spices and cooking techniques available. I'm not a fan.

I had a vegan mac n'cheese several years ago that almost tasted like it might've been in a room with a slice of cheese way-back-when, though. Not a real piece of cheese, fuck no, but one of those single-slices in a package. I suppose it's a start.

health food has come a ways since i was a kid. back then it all tasted like cardboard, at least these days it tastes like flavored cardboard. it still escapes me how our species can put a man on the moon, create communication technology that allows me to videochat with someone in japan in real time, but can't find a way to make tofu taste like cheesecake.

...Well, if you've oral issues, an oral fixation or are inexperienced there's several benefits. Power exchange could be another reason. That's barely scratching the surface on that particular activity.

hunty chile boo i'm gonna have to disagree on this one, a piece of plastic ain't got shit on a nice hunk of wood :gogirl: and as far as inexperience, i'm sure the line would be around the block for guys willing to lend their members so one can increase their oral power. shiiiit, if i liked gettin my dick sucked i'd be the first one in that line. practice on me baby aaaaaall day baby aaaaall day. (!)

I don't meet many guys who can last for more'n, oh, 45 minutes or so receiving oral, at best, despite assurances otherwise. I'll grant that it's generally more fun sucking off a live one, but for solo masturbation or group activities the inability to have the damn thing go down can be highly sought after. Particularly depending on what your kinks are.

-Granted, I'm thinking mostly of interesting shapes there, I'd really like to try one of those sheaths that go over but leave the head exposed. They really vary depending on who can fit in 'em, though, so just buying one and presenting it to partners would be more of a crapshoot on who could fit than anything.

If someone were a true vegan they would never move for fear of killing an insect
As with all religions/fads/trendy lifestyles no-one actually follows all the rules, only the ones convenient to them

As with all religions/fads/trendy lifestyles ...

I killed ten cockroaches and 2 slugs yesterday.

And I 'manslaughtered' a possum last night.

I live and work surrounded by vegans. Veganism is more popular than ever before, and as far as I can tell, it's even increasing in popularity. There's a 'vegan strip mall' in town that includes a bakery, grocery store, clothing shop and tattoo parlor. It may represent a minority diet, but it's definitely not uncommon.

I have no interest in catering to special diets, so we only offer meals that can be prepared vegan, and don't put any special emphasis on catering to a vegan clientele.

From my vantage point, vegan food would be far more delicious if it abandoned not just the material of animal products, but the very concept. But instead, vegans are often obsessed with re-creating the foods they've made taboo. Hence, the vegan grocery store is stuffed with fake meats, fake cheese and fake dairy. Rarely have I tasted any fake animal product that comes close, close at all, to the real thing. In this regard, I'm happy to call this broad population of vegans making fake meat bad cooks.

Why are they generally so blind to the world of food that is already delicious when prepared without animal stuff? There are whole, wonderful canons of things to be done with legumes and vegetables alone that remain largely unexplored so that some dumb hipster can claim she's made 'vegan pastrami.' Bleh.

And vegan soul food my buttocks.

Maybe you don't know the right vegans. My former boss is about my age and she won't even touch honey. She is in fact the real deal.

On the other hand, I have a Jewish friend who claims to be vegetarian, and keep kosher, but I've seen him eat menudo with tripe in it, chicken tenders at almost every dinner out, and a ribeye steak recently. However, he won't let his late husband's nephew brink pork into the house. His solution is often, "don't tell me what's in it."

Make sure before replying to a thread you don't say something stupid again.
