Hm, well I've started showering after I swim which I've started doing at the pool at school. The first couple times I did it when no one was around, and yeah, got hard, but no big deal, right? I used to shower after getting home from the gym because I live close by anyway. But now I've switched to showering straight after my workout, mainly because of the drought (I know I'll have a shorter shower if I'm using a public shower + their shower-heads don't waste as much water as mine), and I've noticed that NOBODY showers at my gym, it might just be because I go there in the middle of the day and there arn't many other people using the gym at that time, but in the past few weeks I haven't seen one other guy showering.

The university gym here has 2 sets of open showers, but I hardly get up there anymore. The 2 gyms in my neighbourhood each have semi-private stalls - basically, semi-opaque glass partitions separating them from each other, but one of the two has doors as well, and the other does not.

I leave my door open when I'm there anyway.

I am a member of a multi-club gym, and you are right, the trend is for individual showers. there is one gym that still has the community showers, and also has a couple private showers. most guys go for the private showers, but when they fill up, everyone has no choice but to go to the community showers. it is quite a show to go to the community shower, to shower and be able to watch other dudes but naked. :-({|= :-({|= :-({|= (!)
