I got a bunch of vintage Orrefors Crystal from Sweden a few days ago...like alot of it...and the prices were very good.

In my office where I am right now...all my art is from thrift stores...some I bought years ago....

I love the Haitian Artist with the colorful jungle the best..I have four of them. I also like big cats...pretty much any animals....the lion and tiger one...similar styles from different artists....

My dad had one of those for making sauerkraut. Once sliced, the shredded cabbage was put in a Red Wing crock with lots of salt, covered with a cloth and a big rock. I'm not sure how he knew it was ready to eat, but it was good. He made it the way his mother did....primatively.

Today I won the auction at a local thrift store for this watch. I think I peed a little.

It looks nice Mikey, i like the strap, is the watch worth much, never heard of an auction at a thrift shop, is it just like an ordinary auction or are raffle tickets involved ?

If it's real it could be worth a pretty penny but I've had really good luck lately, so keep your fingers crossed!

A local thrift store here has a book on a display case near the front and you leave bids on items in the case as a silent auction with different dates that close the bidding for each item.

The only telltale sign I could find to identify fake Constantin watches is that the real ones NEVER contain metal springs. So, you could risk opening the back yourself, or taking it to a jeweler to do it.

The back is latched and swings open to reveal the movement behind glass.

I like that watch! I wouldn't mind even if it wasn't "real."

I do inventory work and have counted many years at Tourneau, the high-end watch dealer. They do sell pre-owned watches and they'd be my first resource for information.

Enjoy it for years!

Nice catch Mikey I need to hear back out to the thrift store to see if they have any new goods.
