I need to find a roommate, either a gay, or straight male. Now do I mention I'am gay in the ad, or when someone respondsI'am posting on Craig's List.

I would definitely mention you're gay - asking for open minded sounds as though it could allude to any number of weird things - a definite off.
If you haven't shared before, let me jsut mention what I have learned in the last three weeks of opening my home to a couple of virtual strangers (helping out a friend's friends): Make your rules CLEAR. My guests have forgotten pretty much right away that they're guests in another person's home. I don't want to rock the boat, but I do thank the stars that they leave in a few weeks time. Piggies, shall we say? Lazy piggies.
