Looking for Pop Corn Recommendations!

What pop corn do you buy?

1. Microwave

2. Cinema only (at a movie)

3. Air pop

4. Old-fashioned: kernels in oil in a pot on the stove, real butter topping.

I prefer the old-fashioned but it's a pain.

(Slippery lubricated hands a plus!)

I buy the microwave kind. The Kettle Corn ones. I like the little bit of sweetness.

Microwave. The cinema popcorn is half the price of an already expensive ticket.

Microwave and air popped; I prefer buying the mom and pop variety of microwavable popcorn if I'm going that route(there's a brand in Florida that I used to get mainly because I don't have to add anything but real butter and it's good to go).

The microwaved stuff is so nasty for you no matter what "natural" crap the label says.

I hardly go to the movies anymore and usually the only thing I bring with me is a flask.

I like the air-popped best but it seems microwaves have taken over popcorn totally.

Microwaved popcorn is extremely unhealthy for you. I quit consuming it years ago. I make popcorn on the stovetop, in my flat-bottomed wok. About a quarter-cup of oil, popcorn kernels to cover fully the bottom of the wok, put the heat on medium-high, put the lid on, and as the corn pops, it moves up the sides of the wok, away from the heat element of the range, and rarely sticks or burns. A couple of good shakes midway through the cooking process is a good idea. Makes wonderful popcorn. A little seasoned salt, or plain salt, or dill weed, or onion powder, and you have a great treat!
