to be honest, I'm always kinda confused when 18 year old men want to befriend me or date me.

I'm always like.. There's LOTS of men out there your age, I could be your dad.

But your'e here.. and we know enough about you now.

Just join in the conversations and arguements and have some fun and let us get to know the real you.

And be open to friendships with people outside your age group. Do not limit yourself in life!!! But for romantic pursueings I would think the ages you have listed are fine.

I'm more interested in how long someone has been out than calendar age... but even most of the under-20 set here has been out longer than I have. So in terms of getting along socially... I'm an amateur.

Yup, those guys are goodies, so don't worry about offending them. They won't come biting you! :p

Roland has a great point. You don't have to limit yourself to people within your age groups when it comes to friendship. I do apologise in advance for using the word "older" again, but very often you do get a whole lot more insight from people who are "older" than you and in a way, it gives you a new perspective into dealing with issues.

Trust me on this, I have met someone here on JUB who is much "older" than the two guys you have "offended" LOL and he has been just terrific for helping me in dealing with my troubles and I have just recently started to regain my life (thanks to HIM and many other awesome JUBbers)!

As for romantic pursuits, I would agree with Roland that those ages you have mentioned would have been appropriate for your age! :) Well, I am also looking for guys in that age range so maybe I should start hitting on you soon....:badgrin:

This is your life and your sex. So, you have the say. And you are calling the shots.

If dudes up to 26 do it for you, stick with them. If you want to try someone 'older', do not worry about this being inappropriate. Many people will also tell you that having gay is 'inappropriate' or that having sex before marriage is 'inappropriate', too.

You decide for yourself. Not anyone else.

thanks guys for your input, sorry if my messages were kinda scrutanizing but i got no problems making friends with anyone its just the relationship part, if i get i bit more private it would be in that age category 18-26 because im still young and it makes me more comfortable to talk to people more my age went it comes to that situation

but id like to say thank you again for takin the time to post. means a lot to me

That sounds a lot like the situation I came out in.
I lost almost every "friend" I had... then my best buddy moved to Indiana, leaving me pretty isolated.
My sister & family consider me wicked and unrepentant.
My older brother says I've destroyed the family.

But... I've survived. And while I feel hollow, from the abandonment and condemnation, I also feel whole in a way I never have.


It can be done -- but it's your call.
 
I actually dated an 18 year old when I was ten years older than him.
The results were disasterous. Bad communication, lots of arguing (but it was good for the few months it lasted..but bad in that it was only a few months).
