VISITORS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS:
Concurrent with ADA regulations the Los Angeles Zoo does allow fully trained service animals into the Zoo. At this time we do not allow service animals in training. A patron wishing to enter the Zoo with a service primate must show proof of a negative TB test for the primate within the last 12 months, and agree to be accompanied by a Zoo staff member or volunteer for the duration of their visit.
If the patron wishes to board their service animal while at the Zoo, clean and safe kennel facilities are available on Zoo grounds for the duration of the patron’s visit. The Los Angeles Zoo does not have facilities to house service primates.
All patrons wishing to enjoy the Zoo with their service animal will be accompanied by Zoo Admissions staff to the Zoo Security Office where they will be requested to
complete an admittance release waiver (PDF file requires Adobe Acrobat Reader) and provided with a map of areas that are strictly off limits to service animals (aviary, contact yard, large cats, etc.)
Prior arrangements are encouraged, but not required. Please call 323/644-4258 for more information. If you require other assistance, please call 323/644-4200 to give the Zoo the chance to make your visit comfortable and special.
