Hello everyone! I've read thousands of stories online and thought I'd contribute to the internet with one of my own. I will say that this is entirely fictional, although some characters are 'inspired' by friends. I would also like to add that I would love any kind of comment, question, PM or constructive criticism. Without further ado, I give you Lost in a Dream.

Lost in a Dream, Chapter 1

Tap, tap, tap...

As I started waking up, I looked over towards the blurred mass of green numbers blinking in front of me.

Tap, tap, tap...

Even though I knew what the clock read, I put my glasses on and saw the 12:00 flashing in front of me. ‘Crap,’ I thought. ‘Power must have gone out.’ Based on the brightness of the light shining through the window, I thought it must have been midmorning.

Tap, tap, tap...

Disoriented from noise and time, I rubbed my eyes to wake myself up. As I started to get up, I realized I wasn’t alone in my bed. ‘Strange,’ I thought, ‘Friday nights can be a blur to some people, but I certainly didn’t get drunk!’ As the guy in my bed was facing away from me, I took note of some of his features. His back was a pale white like my skin. He had short, dirty blond hair. He looked like he was in good shape, but looks can be deceiving.

Tap, tap, tap...

‘There that sound was again!’ I thought to myself as I tried to figure out what happened last night. At this point, I got out of bed to see if I could place where the sound was coming from.

Knock, knock, knock...

Whatever it was, it was getting louder. At first it had sounded like someone using a finger to knock on a door. Now, it sounded as if someone was at least using their knuckles, albeit quite tentatively. I got up and went to the door to peer through the eye-hole to see who was there.

Knock, knock, knock...

‘What the?!’ I thought to myself as nobody appeared to be knocking on the door. “Who’s there?” I said, my voice rough and raspy like usual in the morning.

Knock, knock, knock...

“Seriously,” I said, mumbling to myself as I opened the door, “this isn’t funny!”

Knock, knock, knock...

“What the?!” I said, astonished, as there was nobody at the door. I looked down the hallway of the dormitory, and I didn’t see anyone. Nobody was knocking at anybody’s door, but I could still hear the sound.

Knock, knock, knock...

Confused, I quickly shut the door and decided to lay back down. As I was getting in bed, the strange man was looking at me with a smile. At that moment, I forgot about the knocking sound and took in more of his features. His blue eyes seemed to be sparkling at me as he smiled, and it seemed like his smile had stopped time itself.

“Hi” I said, returning a warm smile of my own, “I wish I could say I remember everything from last night, but, quite frankly, I don’t remember a single thing!”

He opened his mouth like he was going to say something, but all that came out was that sound. It was much louder this time than all the other times I had heard it.

KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK!

----------

My eyes were wide as saucers as I bolted upright in bed. My heart was pounding and I could feel the beads of sweat sliding down my forehead. I rubbed my eyes a bit to get my bearings. The clock read 11:30. I put my glasses on and looked to the other side of the bed and saw nothing. I took a deep breath and let out a sigh and heard a pounding on the door.

KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK! “Come on, man! Wake the fuck up already!”

That was my RA, Jason. He single-handedly took down the wall I had subconsciously crafted throughout high school. That all happened within the first few weeks I attended college. I hadn’t intentionally blocked people from getting to know me; it just didn’t really bother me as much as it should have. In high school I was a bit of a loner, but as long as that meant people left me alone, I was okay with that. Once I got to college, though, Jason helped me more than he ever knew. Just by talking to me, inviting me to play sports, going to the campus movies, and introducing me to other people; he had opened a door to a part of me that I never knew existed. I’m quite confident that if Jason wasn’t my RA two semesters ago, I wouldn’t have made it in college past Christmas.

“All right, Jason, gimme a second to wake up, will ya?” I said as I jumped out of the top bunk. Thank goodness I lived on the first floor, because if I heard that from above every morning, I certainly wouldn’t be too happy about it!

“All right, Lil’ Matt, it’s been a second! I’m coming in!” After saying this, he roughly jiggled the doorknob, as if it was going to suddenly be unlocked.
I opened the door to find Jason ‘patiently’ waiting. I’m using the word ‘patiently’ lightly because he was standing there with his arms crossed and tapping his foot. Jason and I are both pretty athletic, but he shows it much more than I do. He actually played sports in high school, whereas I didn’t.

“Was someone up late last night?” Jason questioned.

“Dude!” I chuckled, “You should know. I went to bed and fell asleep when I left your room last night. I had a bit of a weird dream, but hey. It’s Saturday, so there’s no harm in sleeping in!”

“Good luck with that!” I said sarcastically as I took my glasses off and put my contacts in.

“Yeah, yeah, okay. I just didn’t want you to forget about Frisbee!” Since the first weekend I stayed at college and didn’t go home, Jason, myself and several other friends had made it a tradition to play Ultimate Frisbee. For those of you who don’t know, Ultimate is like a mix between soccer and football. Two teams of seven or so players pass a Frisbee around to try to score in the end-zone. There’s a lot of running, like soccer, except you can’t move your feet once you catch the disc.

I really enjoyed Frisbee with these guys. I wasn’t going to forget it any time soon.

“Forget Frisbee?!” I challenged Jason. “Yeah, right... Besides, you owe me one or a few for all the times I’ve had to wake you up to come play! Why do you want to me up so early, Jason? Frisbee doesn’t start until noon!”

“I gotta make sure you’re awake this time, Matt.” He said.

“I only slept through last week because you didn’t wake me after keeping me up all night! That movie marathon was your idea, remember.” So what, maybe I was a little bitter! “Well, since I was so rudely awoken,” I started, abusing the use of sarcasm, “I’m going to take care of something.” I finished with a sly grin and a wink.

He knew what I was trying to avoid saying, so he said, “One of these days I’ll get you to say ‘I’m gonna go jack off’, Matt. Then it won’t be embarrassing!” I rolled my eyes, smiled, and shook my head at him as I closed and locked my door.

I was about to get my laptop out and look up something special, but then remembered the hunk from my dream. I was already hard since it was morning after all, but each thought of him started to push me to my limit. And I hadn’t even touched myself yet. I still wasn’t wearing a shirt, so I just dropped my boxers and laid back down in bed. I grabbed a small bottle of baby oil I kept handy for times like this and squirted a glob in my left hand.

I closed my eyes and thought about the guy in my dream. I grasped my hot, throbbing cock with my left hand as I imagined more of him. I shuddered as the cool oil slicked up and down my shaft.

My right hand carefully caressed my chest, stopping casually to toy with my nipples. My own soft, gentle touch was aided by the fact I could ‘see’ this guy mimicking my own actions. I could see him move from my chest to my balls. I could feel him carefully fondle each individual as if they had to have special attention. I could smell the lavender in the baby oil. Hell, I could hear him softly moaning at the sensual touch. Well, maybe that was me. I was enjoying it too much to care!

The sensory overload had kicked everything into high gear and I threw my head back in anticipation of what was coming. With one last stroke and twist, I felt my balls tighten up against my body and I stretched out my body. A soft whimper escaped my throat as my cock exploded in my hands. The first shots of my smoldering cum arched out of my throbbing cock. I heard them smack against my chest.

I spent the next few minutes catching my breath as the cum cooled against me. I strained to lift my head and see my mess; it was a doozy. A good doozy. A big doozy. What was it about this guy that made me feel like that?

----------

After I cleaned myself up and threw away the evidence, I opened the window to get some fresh air circulating into the room. As I unlocked the door to go wash my hands, Jason was there. In the hall. Waiting. Grinning. I froze as he looked at me. “What?” I said, “Ok, so you know what I did!”

“True,” he said as the grin turned into a smirk, “but I didn’t expect you to miss a spot.” I looked at him, mortified, as I felt blood rush to my face. My cheeks felt like they were in the spotlight as Jason laughed and I practically ran to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and saw it. A glob of cum right on my left cheek. I quickly washed away the evidence along with my hands and left the bathroom to get ready for Frisbee.

Once we made it to the fields, most of the people were there and ready to play. I had played with some of them before. Most, though, I didn’t recognize. Since it was the beginning of a new school year, though, I wasn’t surprised.

After a few minutes, we decided that team captains would be the two RA’s that showed up, which meant Jason was one of the lucky two. He didn’t seem to mind, but I hated being captain, because it meant I couldn’t be underestimated by someone. I like Frisbee as a sport, but I really liked proving people wrong. People see me, all 5’7”, 130 pounds of me, and don’t think there’s much to me. Jason, on the other hand, was tanned about 6’ tall and 160 pounds. He looked much more like an athlete than I did.

What most people don’t realize is that Ultimate Frisbee is almost perfectly designed for me. I’m generally one of the fastest people, I can change direction on a whim, and I can catch and throw. The only drawback to the game for me is my height, but there’s nothing I can do about that!

I usually get picked in the middle of the pack, but whenever Jason’s picked or picking, he lobbies to get me on his team. It worked that way again this time. Since most people didn’t know who was who, we played shirts against skins. I had silly inhibitions about being skins last year, but now it didn’t really bother me to be either. I knew Jason would have his shirt off before the end of the game anyway, so I wasn’t surprised when he picked our team to be skins.

It was a pretty normal game of Frisbee for Jason and I, as we’ve played on the same team countless times. We know how we like to play and try to include everyone else. When it’s time to score, we find a way. There was one such situation this Saturday, where Jason had the disc on the right side of the field and I was running deep along the left and cutting across. I had already left my defender in the dust, so all I had to do was catch the rapidly sinking disc as it floated in the end-zone. It kept drifting as I kept running, and before I knew it, I had one last chance to score. At this point, everything seemed like it slowed down. I thought I could make out my name and phone number spiraling on the underside of the disc. There wasn’t a defender in sight that could have had an impact on the play, and the only person close was a guy sitting under a tree close by.

When it was first thrown, I didn’t think I had a chance at getting to it. At the last second, I dove and reached out as far as I could. The air rushed through my short hair as the last form of resistance when I grabbed for the disc. The ground was fairly soft, but I was overcome with a sudden pain as I slid a few feet on the ground. I could tell I had caught the disc, but that suddenly didn’t matter to me. Time still felt like it was in slow motion. I could hear people yelling and cheering, but I still couldn’t just jump up and react like everything was normal. In fact, things were far from normal. My head was pounding, and everything was spinning as I rolled over and tossed the disc to the side. I could feel the heat of the end-of-summer Sun beating down on me. I tried to sit up, but my better judgement thought laying down would be a better idea.

I desperately tried to catch my breath as I laid there with my hands up by my head, trying to get a grasp of everything that just happened. I closed my eyes and remembered the disc floating away, the guy sitting by the tree in the distance, myself diving, and the pain. ‘Oh yeah,’ I thought, ‘we had the end-zone with the pine needles.’

Minutes later, I opened my eyes. Actually, it could have been seconds later, I had no real bearing on time at this point. I do know that things were still spinning as I saw Jason and someone else crouching over me. I could hear Jason shouting “Matt! MATT!”, but it was muffled. It sounded as if he was trying to shout through pillow from ten feet away. I finally got my eyes focused a bit when I looked over at the other guy when he sighed and smiled. At that moment, I remembered the weird dream from this morning. Pale skin. Short, dirty blonde hair. Blue eyes. Heartwarming smile. It was him!

Lost in a Dream, Chapter 2

For the life of me, I couldn’t recall what happened after that crazy dive. I woke up sore, but in my own bed. I looked down and could see and feel the scratches from the dive into the pine needles were quite real. I put my glasses and a shirt on, and noticed the clock said 4:22 p.m. I opened my door to go to the bathroom, and I noticed Jason’s door was wide open. I could tell he and someone else were sitting on his futon, and I told him I’d be right there.

When I finished, I walked to the sink to wash my hands and splash some water in my face. I looked at myself in the mirror and couldn’t help but wonder about everything that happened after that catch. How did I get home? Why don’t I remember anything? Who was that guy? Yeah, who was that guy?

When I got to the hallway outside my room and Jason’s room, I closed my door most of the way and walked across the hall to Jason’s room. As I walked in I saw Kelsey and Jason sitting on one end of the futon, so I sat on the other end. Jason smiled, and said, “Hey man, how ya feelin’?”

I smirked a bit as I thought of a way to make light of the situation and decided to ask, “You know how you’re always telling me about all the kinky sex you and Kelsey have?”

The look in Jason’s eyes and the smirk on his face told me he was going to play along. “Go on...” He said, as if I had asked for his permission to continue.

“Well,” I said, hoping to embarrass one or both of them, “You know those scratches she gets you with? That’s all this is like.” I said as I rubbed my shirt. I looked at Kelsey for the first time and she looked to be a mix of furious and embarrassed. I couldn’t contain my smirk anymore, and busted out laughing. “Gee, Kelsey,” I started, “don’t take it so seriously! You know your secrets are safe with me!” I smiled and winked.

“Are you done?” she said, glaring at me. Whoops! Maybe I pushed that one a bit too far... “At least we know that nap did you some good.” She said.

“What do you mean? Was I that bad this afternoon?”

“Bad, no.” Jason paused. “Don’t you remember, Matt?” he said as he looked at me, concerned and a little confused.

I could tell the jovial nature of our conversation had changed. He never called me ‘Matt.’ To me, it was like a parent calling their child by their whole name. That’s how I knew he was serious and quite concerned. Jason’s not the type of person who finds a nickname for everyone. He acted like I was his little brother throughout my first year, and that relationship slowly transformed into the nickname ‘Lil’ Matt.’ He knew how much it meant to me to be a part of something. That’s why he did it.

I shook my head and said, “The last I remember from before my nap was laying down, feeling the rough grass on my back, and the sun beating down on my chest. You and some guy were huddled over me, but that’s all I remember. I don’t remember hitting my head or anything...” I said as I trailed off and tried to explain what I thought.

“After I got over to you, you seemed dazed. You were breathing pretty heavy, so Brayden and I helped you over to the sidelines so you could get some water and sit down.” Jason said, “After that, everybody had decided the game was over, so you, Brayden, and I walked back here.”

“So,” I said, deep in thought, “I was conscious the whole time and talking?”

“Conscious, yes. Talking, not so much. You did a lot of nodding, shrugging, and smiling, but no talking.” He responded, “but after we got back, you said you felt like taking a nap.”

“Okay,” I said, still deep in thought, “only one more question. Who’s Brayden?”

“Oh, just some guy!” Jason said, smirking. “And he told me to give you this,” he continued, handing me a ripped sheet of paper with a phone number. “You should give him a call. He was pretty concerned about you, man.”

Kelsey giggled and added, “He’s a looker, too! If he weren’t more into you than me, I’d ditch Jason and go for him!” Jason pretended to be hurt, but those two could joke about that without causing a rift in their relationship. That was one of my favorite things about them as a couple.

With that, I smiled, walked out, and told them I’d be back later.

----------

I walked back into the room and sat on the bed I used as a couch. It was the end of August and the school year had just barely started. Unfortunately, I had no roommate. Again. I had started the last year with a roommate, but I never got to know him. He practically refused to talk to me and I could never really figure out why. He and I would talk on occasion, but I’ve heard more conversation coming out of a porno. Aside from hardly being able to hold a conversation with him, he rarely stayed the night. When he wasn’t at his girlfriend’s, I always had to hear Stronger by Kanye West as his alarm clock. Which never woke him up. Let’s just say that song now strikes a chord with me that is closely associated with seething anger. Fortunately for me, he failed out after first semester. My only regret was that I didn’t try harder to get him to open up.

This year I was supposed to have a roommate who I was friends with, but he decided he’d rather pursue culinary school. I was happy for him, but also nervous that I’d get some roommate as bad as last year's. Jason had told me that it couldn’t get much worse than him, though. Who knows, maybe I still may get some eye candy!

Since I had no roommate, yet, I arranged my room differently than most. I kept one bed lofted and the other served as a couch. Since I still paid for a double room, I had to keep all of the furniture in the room. Sure, I didn’t need most of it, but I used what I needed to. The only ‘double’ of the furniture I actually used was the bed. Jason always wondered why I never slept on the lower bed, but I never answered. Frankly, I didn’t know why I didn’t.

So I was just sitting there, leaning against the wall and I decided to give Brayden a call.

After a few rings, he picked up. “Hello?” questioned a voice from the other line.

“Hey, man,” I responded, “is this Brayden? This is Matt.”

I could hear a relieved sigh in the background, “Yeah it is. Good to hear from ya Matt, you had me worried there! Feelin’ any better?”

“Loads, Brayden. Thanks for asking.” I said, pausing, “Sorry I wasn’t very talkative earlier. I was pretty out of it. Honestly, I don’t remember anything that happened after that catch. Jason only just told me that we all walked back and that I went and took a nap ...” I said, interrupted by a loud gurgling noise.

“Holy cow! I heard that!” Brayden said, laughing, “Wanna grab a bite to eat over at the commons?”

Did he just ask me out? Maybe I’m just fussing too much. “Yeah man, I’m starving!” I said, in between laughs, “I’m gonna shower first though, wanna meet in the lobby in 20 minutes?”

“Definitely! See ya!” He said, hanging up first.

With that, I went to the bathroom, showered, and got ready to go eat. As I walked by Jason’s door, I mentioned it to him. He jumped up out of the futon and ran into the hall before he asked, “So, it’s a date?”

Jason was the first person I ever came out to. He was the first person I ever trusted enough to come out to. I never wanted to make a big deal out of it and, thankfully, he didn’t either. I only wanted it to be something that was low-profile about me. The last thing I wanted was for someone to like me or hate me just because I was gay. I was grateful that Jason was perfectly understanding and only told his girlfriend, Kelsey. Later, I told both of them that I didn’t care who knew, as long as they didn’t treat me any differently.

As I walked away from Jason, I turned my head, smiled, and winked, saying, “We’ll see, Jason, we’ll see. Later, man!”

----------

When I made it to the lobby, Brayden was standing there, waiting. When he saw me, he started walking my way and smiled. Oh, that smile! As if he wasn’t good-looking enough, that smile was enough to slow time. I could tell he was taller than Jason was. He looked like he was in good shape, too, which was always a plus in my book. Kelsey was right, he was a looker!

When he was within reach, I stuck my hand out, which he graciously accepted and returned the handshake. ‘Soft hands and a firm grip.’ I noted. It was firm but had a gentle nature to it. I caught a whiff of an almost exotic smell as we shook. Was he wearing cologne? Better question: was he trying to impress me? “Good to meet you, Brayden!” I said, “At least this time I’ll remember what we talk about!”

With that, we started chatting as we wandered towards the commons. I learned that he was from the Midwest, too. He had an older sister and a younger brother, whereas I just had an older brother. Before long, we were at the commons and ready to eat. Well, I didn’t know how hungry he was, but I was dying to eat.

Once we got our food, we found a spot and sat down to continue talking. I found out that he was attending school on a swimming scholarship, but was just taking general classes in his Freshmen year. I also found out that his roommate’s name was Kevin and that they were just randomly assigned to each other. He didn’t know much about him though, but Brayden did say he kept to his books and one-syllable responses when possible. I told him about my first roommate and how he was the same way, minus the books.

We continued talking, and after a while I looked at my phone to catch the time. ‘Woah!’ I thought as the numbers surprised me, ‘7:10?! Time flies!’ We both decided to finish up and head back to the dorms, so we threw away the garbage and left. On the way back, I told him he should really try to get to know his roommate. I had let him know that I never did that my Freshmen year and things were really awkward and quiet whenever he was around.

“If he refuses to talk,” I said, smiling, “send me a text and come hang out!”

Jason’s door was slightly ajar when I came back. I could tell the lights were off, so he and Kelsey were probably just watching a movie. We had an agreement that if our doors were open at all, we didn’t have to knock to enter. I figured I would just say ‘Hi’ after a few minutes, but as I unlocked my door and opened it, Jason’s door burst open. Suddenly he was leaning against the door frame behind me, smirking. He did that for a few seconds while I turned the lights on and took my shoes off. Then he impatiently said, “So?”

“So what?” I said, returning the smirk.

“Don’t gimme that, Lil’ Matt. Was it a date or not?”

“I suppose you could call it that...” I told him as my heart fluttered a bit. “What are you and Kelsey watching?” I said, quickly avoiding the conversation.

I’m sure he knew my intention to change the subject, but he was a good enough friend not to push the subject. “Kel left for a girls night out, so I’m all alone trying to figure out what to watch!” Jason said, wandering back to his room.

“Jase!” I said, trying to get his attention. I held out the first season of How I Met Your Mother and told him he was welcome to join me. That was one of those shows I could watch repeats of whenever and still get a good laugh in. In fact, I’m pretty sure that’s what we watched when we hung out for the first time.

We had gotten through a couple of episodes when I got a text from Brayden. I must have smiled when I read the name, because Jason looked at me and asked, “Is it him?”

I simply nodded and asked, “How’d ya guess?”

Jason laughed, and simply said, “Easy. You lit up like a light bulb when you looked at your phone, and it wasn’t from the light on the screen.” I smiled at Jason and looked at Brayden’s text.

“well, i dunno if that makes it better or worse, but at least i tried”

My smile quickly changed into an annoyed frown as I rolled my eyes at the thought of Kevin. ‘Wonder what his deal is.’ I thought as I sent the following: “Come on down, man. That’s enough punishment for the day!” Yes, I do use capital letters and punctuation in my texts. Force of habit!

Soon enough, Brayden was knocking on my door. My smile returned as he came in and sat in between Jason and me on the couch-bed. “Nice set-up!” Brayden said, looking around.

“Thanks,” I said happily, “that’s what happens when you don’t have a roommate!”

I don’t know if Brayden had seen How I Met Your Mother before, but he was laughing along with us as the episodes continued on. Soon enough, midnight rolled around and Jason had to leave to do some of his RA duties. Brayden got up at the same time and said he didn’t have his keys, so I said bye to them both and got up to get ready for bed.

----------

As I laid in bed, I couldn’t help but think of Brayden. If I had a favorite feature, his smile might just be it. I loved the way it made my heart flutter. It seemed so smooth. So natural to him. My mind wandered to his intoxicating cologne, and I closed my eyes to imagine him up close and personal. My hands started traveling around my body; my left stopping at my crotch and my right at my chest.

I hadn’t even realized just how horny he made me tonight until my eyes had shut thinking of him. I could still smell his cologne lingering in my nostrils as my imagination started to work. I could feel the soft touch of his hands against my chest. I could see the way he smiled when he saw what he did to me. Just like this morning, I imagined Brayden touching me in all the right ways. And it was working. My breathing had become rather erratic as my thoughts became rather erotic.

I hadn’t even bothered with lube this time; the thought of Brayden had me plenty lubed from my own pre-cum. The heat of the friction of the frantic jack-off session combined with the way the air was licking at the bare juice was driving me wild. The sound of my hand making slick squishing sounds was the final straw. My eyes and mouth burst open as I audibly gasped at the ferocity of the coming explosion. The orgasm raged through my body as I ejaculated straight into the air.

I could feel the semen cooling against my skin, but I was too tired to move anymore. I fell asleep with a fresh load splattered against my stomach. Thanks, Brayden!

Nice chapter, Justanothershyguy. I think I need to shorten that a bit, hope you don't mind, JASG.....lol Matt must be psychic or something, first laying in bed with a hunk (which was a dream), then actually meeting the hunk who turns out to be Brayden. This is going to be very interesting.....

Lost in a Dream, Chapter 3

Sunday morning definitely came fast enough. Or, at least, I thought it was morning based on the light that peered through the window. The bedside clock wasn’t helping me figure the truth, though, as it was flashing 12:00 again.

I started to get down when I realized something was off. Way off. That wasn’t my bed. I looked around, and nothing in this room looked familiar to me. This isn’t even my room! I looked down and thought, ‘At least I’m decent...’ Almost immediately after that thought, I scrunched my forehead in confusion as I observed, ‘Wait. I don’t own a pair of gold basketball shorts... OR this shirt! What is going on?’

I heard the door open, but by the time I looked, all I saw was an arm closing it. I immediately tried to pursue this person. When I got to the door, I looked up and down the hall and saw nothing. I didn’t hear any other doors open or close in that time, so this person must be crazy fast and quiet. That’s when I looked at the door across from me. It had a lot of name tags on it and a sign that read, “Resident Assistant.” Lukas.

I looked back to the door of the room I was in, and only saw one name. ‘Evan, room 244.’ I took note as I tried to figure out what was going on. That’s when Lukas’s door opened and I just glimpsed the outline of someone who I assumed was Lukas. He looked my way and said, “Good morning, Evan!”

----------

“Yeah, and that’s when I woke up.” I said to Jason as we sat on my couch. I told him last night that I was going to leave my door unlocked if he wanted to check on me. I knew he was concerned about yesterday, but I wasn’t going to argue because I wouldn’t win. At the point of my dream where Lukas’ door opened, Jason had come into my room, saw me squirming in bed and said, “Good morning, Lil’ Matt!” He told me that when he said that, I opened my eyes and looked at him like he was a ghost.

He knew I was freaked out by the whole dream, so he tried to make me smile. Or laugh. Something. “Man, it smells kinda funky in here, don’t ya think?” That son of a gun! He wasn’t trying to make me laugh, he was trying to embarrass me! Let’s see if I can turn that back on him...

“Yeah, it does a little bit. What exactly did you think I was going to do after a date with a hot guy?”

“Jesus!” He exclaimed, “I wasn’t expecting you to fall in love with him so soon!” Crap! He flipped that quick. Hmm.

“It’s not love, yet...” I said as I trailed off. “That was lust. Pure and simple lust. I imagined he was right there with me... I could smell the cologne he was wearing... I could see his --”

“OKAY!” He shouted and laughed as he shook his head. I win! “So. The dream.”

“Do you know any RA’s named Lukas?” I asked him as I pondered.

“No,” he said after a pause, “but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any. It’s still quite early in the year. Did you happen to get a look at him?”

I shook my head, “Nope, all I could see was a dark outline. I don’t even know whether or not it was him.”

“Interesting,” he said, deep in thought, “I say we don’t put too much stock in it right now. Besides, it’s not like you’re psychic or anything!”

I looked at him and laughed, “Yeah, I know, right?” He always had a way to make light of a situation. Every single time. It wasn’t just around me, though. It was with everyone, so it just came natural to him.

Sunday morning was pretty normal after that. I went to the bathroom to shower, shave and put my contacts in. I didn’t have to shave every day, but I couldn’t grow enough scruff to wait a week, either. As I walked back to my room, Kelsey and Jason were there. ‘Crap!’ I thought. “If you guys can wait a minute or two, I’ll show you how fast I can get dressed and look good! Time it!”

‘Quick!’ I thought as I scrambled to get dressed. It was just for church, so I had to look nice. I wanted to look nice. A pair of khaki’s and a button-up shirt was easy enough!

I opened the door and I heard Jason say something from the end of the hallway. I couldn’t understand it, so I jogged to catch up to them and said, “What?”

“I saaaaaid,” He exaggerated, “‘That was more than two minutes, so we started walking!’” He smirked as he finished this, so I punched him on the shoulder.

“Fair enough!” I said as we left the dorm. On Sundays, Jason, Kelsey and I went to church. I wasn’t as religious as they were, but I knew about the Bible and I always felt better about myself after going to church. Thankfully there was one near campus within walking distance! Even better yet, that church had a service at 11:00, so we could sleep in a little bit.

After we got back to the dorm, I texted Brayden that Jason, Kelsey and I were going to go to get Chinese and he was welcome to join us. As we walked up to our rooms, I got a response from Brayden: “sounds good, i’ll be right down”

“Damn! You were right, Jason. You get to pick the next movie we see.” Kelsey had said as we turned into our separate rooms.

“Wait, what?” I turned as I realized that meant me.

Kelsey and Jason both laughed when Kelsey said, “Jason told me that your face lights up when you get a text from Brayden, and I didn’t believe it!” She said and paused, “So, he told me to watch for it and be amazed. It did, and I am!”

Jason and I both left our doors open, as we had become really good friends. I was much more reserved in the past. Now, I could change (to a certain degree) without letting it bother me. I searched for a shirt when Brayden knocked on the open door and said, “Hurry up, I’m starving!” As I turned around to say something, I could have sworn his mouth was ajar as I pulled a shirt over my head.

I greeted him and smiled, “I’m glad you wanted to come, Brayden! Have you ever had the Chinese here?”

“I haven’t had it ever.” He said as I looked at him, aghast. “But, there’s a reason for that. My childhood babysitter would make ‘Chinese’ and, for the longest time, it was the worst thing I had ever eaten.”

“I’m glad you’re willing to try, I’m sure that wasn’t a fair representation of true Chinese food!” I said, smiling. “Do you like chicken?” I asked, and he nodded, so I replied, “Good. Then you can at least have something!”

As we left my room, Jason and Kelsey were doing the same. Jason looked at Brayden and said, “Seriously though, you’ve never had Chinese?” I had wondered if Jason had heard him. I think Jase would eat Chinese for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if he had the money and the option! Brayden simply shook his head in response.

Lunch at the Chinese restaurant was good. Brayden tried the sweet and sour chicken with a bed of rice and some kind of fried meat on a stick. He said that tasted like chicken, but it looked like a fried rat. We all talked casually the whole time, which I was surprised with. I half expected Kelsey and Jason to be quizzing him on his own life, but apparently they were saving that for another time.

The worst part about Sunday afternoons was the realization that school was still important. I suggested, “Maybe you should do some homework ... Maybe it will give Kevin a chance to see you’re a little like him!”

Brayden laughed as he shook his head, started to walk away, and said, “Who knows ... but I doubt it!”

A couple hours had passed and I was in need of a break. I texted Brayden to ask how it was going. I got up and used the bathroom, and was talking to Jason for a minute when I got a response: “ugh. not helping. i asked what he was studying and he told me to ‘fuck off, asshole’.”

Jason saw my smile fade as I read and asked, “What’s wrong?”

I knew there was no lying at this point, so I said, “Brayden’s roommate. I’m gonna go talk to them.”

Jason knew there was nothing he could do to stop me from confronting Kevin, so he said, “All right then, I’ll go ‘talk’ with Ryan.” Ryan was the RA on Brayden’s floor and he and Jason got along well. I figured he’d just be listening from Ryan’s room, but that was up to him.

When we got up to Brayden’s room, I took a deep breath to regain my composure. The door was mostly open, surprisingly, so I knocked, smiled, and said, “Hey Brayden!” He just half smiled and looked at me when Kevin muttered something to himself. I chose to ignore whatever that was, so I asked Brayden how the studying was going. Kevin answered for him, saying angrily “It would probably help him if you weren’t here, asshole.”

“What?” I said, before I finally got a good look at Kevin. When Brayden had mentioned he kept to his books, I expected him to be my size. I was wrong. I was so wrong. This guy was easily 6’4” and 200 pounds.

Kevin looked at me, glaring and “I said, asshole, that he would get more studying done if you weren’t here.”

I was opening my mouth to say something when Brayden spoke up. “What the fuck is your problem man? Everyone you’ve ever seen walk into this room is an ‘asshole’ whether you know them or not. What the fuck is up with that?” I looked at Brayden, then to Kevin to see his reaction.

But he never said anything. It looked like his mind was a ticking time bomb, so I said, “If you had even attempted to get to know Brayden, you’d have learned quickly that he has a heart of gold. But, apparently, something inside you has told you that no one deserves a chance. Everyone’s an asshole to you. And that’s wrong. Brayden is NOT an asshole. He doesn’t even deserve to be in the same sentence as the word ‘asshole’.”

There were a lot of things going through my head. Things I wanted to say and things I wanted to do. But I didn’t. Then Kevin dropped a bomb on me.

He glared at me and sneered, “What are you? A faggot?”

A thousand things came to mind at once as a way to respond. I could have ignored him and walked away, but I didn’t. I drew a quick breath and exhaled softly. “Yeah, I am. And you know what else? I’m a fucking person. I give other people chances to get to know me and they return those chances. I’m not going to grow old without friends and loved ones. But if you keep this fucking attitude up, you will. Is that what you want?” I gave him a second to respond as I returned his glare, but only silence followed. Nothing from Brayden. Nothing from Kevin. Sheer awkward silence.

I didn’t know what to think as I walked away, but I stopped by Ryan’s room to have him check on Brayden and Kevin from time to time. Ryan was pretty shocked by the whole thing, but nodded in agreement. Jason, on the other hand, was grinning from ear to ear. As we walked away, I looked at him and said, “What?”

“That was awesome! I’ve never heard you say ‘fuck’ before, but you dropped two on him!” He always found a way to make me laugh!

----------

It was about dinner time when Jason told me he was going to buy pizza for me, Kelsey, and himself. He was giving me the hero treatment, and neither he nor Kelsey would have any arguments about it. I hadn’t heard from Brayden all afternoon, so I decided to invite him for a slice or two. Jason always orders for leftovers, so I knew there’d be enough.

At about 9:00, I got a text while we were all watching a movie. I didn’t look at it right away, but I wasn’t going to ignore it. Kelsey looked at me and said, “Aren’t you going to look and see who it is?”

I just smiled at her, saying, “Jeez, give me a chance, woman!” I laughed and saw the text was from Brayden: “sorry, i went for a swim and a long walk and forgot my keys. can u let me in?”

“I’ll be right back, Brayden forgot his keys needs someone to let him in.” I said as left to let him in.

He weakly smiled as I opened the door and beckoned him to follow. I usually don’t shut the door all the way when I’m awake, but I did this time. Not for my sake, but for Brayden’s.

He stood there like he was lost, so I told him to have a seat so we could talk. I was about ready to ask if he was okay when he looked down at his feet and said, “I’m sorry for not saying anything all afternoon. I don’t know what to say.”

“Brayden,” I said, trying to get him to look me in the eyes, “I can’t say I know how you’re feeling, because I don’t. But you do need to know that I meant every word I said to Kevin.” He looked up and matched my eye contact as I continued, “You’re not an asshole in any way possible. You’ve got a heart of gold and I’ve known that since I saw you crouching over me yesterday.”

At that point, I had nothing else to say, and he didn’t need to say anything. He pulled me up out of the chair and hugged me like he was holding on for his life. I could feel the warmth in from his body. It was a strong hug. But a gentle hug. It was full of tenderness and caring. When he finally let go, he stayed close as he looked me in the eyes. His bright blue eyes sparkled and were moist from all the emotion. That’s all I could saw until he pulled me closer, closed his eyes, and softly kissed me on the lips. I was shocked, at first, but gladly returned the kiss. My first kiss. People often describe a kiss as ‘electrifying,’ but that wasn’t right. Sure, it shocked me, but not in that way. It was exhilarating. It was pure happiness pouring into my body. It was the way his soft, warm lips were gently pressed against mine.

After we separated, I didn’t know what to do. My heart pounded, as if it were trying to show its true nature to Brayden. I opened my mouth to say something, but nothing came. I wanted to say something, but all that emotion couldn’t be explained easily.

He stared at me for a few seconds, but he didn’t have anything to say either. He almost looked hurt as he started to get up. I was still dumbfounded, so I grabbed his arm gently and said, “Wait!” I could feel the strength in his arm as he stopped and looked me in the eyes. “Stay?” I gently let my hand fall down the length of his forearm and stopped at his hand. “Please?” I peered deep into his eyes. His soul. I wanted him to know exactly how serious I was.

He smiled as he sat down. His smile warmed my heart. It sent a single shiver down my spine. A good shiver. He held me close to him as we slowly laid down on the bed. Everything about that hug had felt so right. Like we were meant to hold each other close and safe. Like we were meant to be. “I hope you never let me go.” I said as I held him close.

I started to drift off, comforted by the warmth of this incredible man laying next to me. His warmth holding me tight like a blanket. The last words I remember him saying were, “I hope I never have to, Matt.”

I love it. Romance! How fortunate Matt is to have Jason and Kelsey and now he can add Brayden. It also took some balls to confront Kevin. Much like the old melodramas Kevin is the dastardly evil villain. I guess that places Matt as the hero protecting his love, Brayden. I am worrying about all these mysterious and psychic like dreams Matt is having. However, it adds a bit of spice to the pie.....lol

If you're worried about the dreams now, just wait until later! (Insert maniacal laugh here)

Lost in a Dream, Chapter 4

Monday mornings always sucked. It meant I couldn’t sleep in and a whole week of classes. This Monday was different, though. I couldn’t help but smile as Brayden had an arm draped across my chest. It felt like I had known him for ages, when in reality I’d only known him for mere days. My entire feeling toward life was ... different. I felt happy. Comfortable. It felt like this is how things were meant to be. I had no desire to move, but it was already almost 8 and I had Spanish at 9. Brayden must be a pretty heavy sleeper, because he didn’t move much after I rolled out of bed. I grabbed my bathroom kit and a towel and headed off to start the usual morning ritual.

I lightly shook Brayden when I got back to my room because I wasn’t sure when he had to be up. “Brayden, it’s almost 8:30. I’ve got class at nine, so I’m gonna grab a bite to eat so I can get going soon.” His gorgeous blue eyes slowly opened and a he smiled; I could get used to that every morning! “You can stay as long as you want, just shut the lights off and close the door when you leave!” I said, grabbing my backpack.

“Okay!” He said, excited, “I probably won’t stay long, though. I usually swim in the mornings to wake myself up! Oh, and, I need to see if Kevin is around so I can get my keys.” It sounded like the mere mention of ‘Kevin’ was enough to put him on edge. It would upset me too if I had to live with him.

“Don’t worry about him! If he can’t see you for who you are, then that’s his problem.” I said, trying to comfort him. I realized Jason was probably waiting for me since we had class in the same building, so I leaned forward and gave Brayden a peck on the cheek. “See ya later, Brayden!” I said as I opened the door and walked out. Just as I expected, Jason was waiting for me.

“Damn!” He said, shielding his eyes, “If I would have known you’d be glowing this bright this morning, I’d have worn sunglasses!”

I just laughed as we started to walk and said, “Wow! Is it really that obvious?”

“No,” he said, chuckling, “it just looks like you just got laid last night.”

“Okay, good!” I said as I grinned. If he wanted to know anything about, he was going to have to work for it.

“Don’t worry, though,” he said, turning his head to me, “I already know. You two would make a good couple!”

My heart fluttered at that thought. Was that what it was? Last night was awesome! Just being around Brayden was awesome. The gentle breeze added to my inner calmness as we walked to class. I simply smiled and looked at Jason, “I think I’d like that, Jase, but, is it all happening too fast?”

“If there was one way to describe you, Lil’ Matt, it’d be that you’re fast. But,” he said, pausing, “you’ve gotta realize that it doesn’t always have to matter. If Brayden wasn’t ready, you probably wouldn’t have been that happy this morning!”

I just smiled as I reached my classroom, telling Jason that I’d see him later. I walked in and looked for a seat and I only saw one open spot. I froze as I saw who I’d have to sit next to. I can’t believe I didn’t remember him from the first week of school! Kevin was a big guy, after all.

I had to tell myself to just smile and ignore him, he wasn’t going to ruin my day. Thank God I had the same professor as last year, she was a riot! I sat down and said, “Hola!” to Kevin as I tried to be sociable. I wasn’t sure what he’d say if he’d even say anything.

And then, he surprised me. He said, “Hey.” No asshole. No resentful sigh beforehand. ‘Hey.’

Class went on as usual, but it was review of last year. You could call this an intermediate level of Spanish, but there were a few Freshmen who tested into this class.

As I was packing my things after class, Kevin surprised me again. “Uhh, sorry, but what’s your name again?”

“Matt.” I said, extending my hand out of politeness. He accepted and returned the handshake, saying, “Kevin. I’m sorry we got off on the wrong foot yesterday.” Pause. “I was the asshole.”

‘Yeah, you were!’ I thought. Was this him turning a new leaf? “I appreciate the apology, Kevin, but I think there’s someone who deserves one more than I do.”

He nodded in agreement as we walked out of the classroom when he stopped suddenly, asking, “Have you seen him lately?”

I didn’t want him to go through me to talk to Brayden, so I lied. So sue me. “No, I haven’t.”

“Oh,” he said, sounding almost disappointed, “well, if you do, can you tell him Ryan has his keys? He forgot them in the room last night and wasn’t there when I woke up this morning.”

“Yeah,” I said pulling out my phone, “I’ll send him a text right now. See ya later, Kevin.” I said as I turned around and walked the other way. I didn’t know if he was going back to the dorm or not, but I decided that I’d take a longer route home.

----------

When I got back to my room, I was disappointed to see Brayden had left after all. I wasn’t surprised, of course, because he had said he liked to swim in the mornings. I decided now would be a good time to text him, since I had feigned that action earlier. It read, “Turns out Kevin’s in my Spanish class. Did you get your keys?”

Since it was just about noon and I didn’t have class again until 1:00, I was about ready to grab lunch at the commons when Brayden texted me back. “just finished laps and yes i got my keys from ryan. i’m starving and on my way to the commons- wanna meet there?”

I smiled and replied that I’d be there in ten minutes. Jason was on his way back when I was walking there, and I told him he was welcome to join us. “Sorry bud,” he said, “already ate!”

After I made it to the commons and through the line, I found Brayden and he was smiling, per usual. We chatted casually for a while. Eventually, he asked, “So, Kevin’s seriously in your Spanish class?”

I nodded and laughed, “Yeah man, and there was only one spot when I got there. Next to him.” His eyes widened showing his shock.

“So, you just said, ‘Hola!’ and he responded? And didn’t just respond with ‘asshole’ or anything like that?” I just nodded in confirmation. Then, he asked, “Do you think you got through to him yesterday?”

“I hope so, Brayden. Like I said, everybody deserves a chance or two.”

“I don’t know how you think like that. Especially with Kevin. He was really a dick to everyone he met here.”

“Last year, the first night I was here, Jason tried his absolute hardest to crack my shell. I didn’t really care if anyone knew me because, to me, school was about grades. We talked for a while the first evening I was there, but not about anything in particular. As he left that first night, he told me, ‘Matt, I don’t believe for a minute that people create walls to hide from something. They do it to see who cares enough to break the wall down.’” I stared off into the distance as I thought of a way to explain the rest of the story.

“After he left, I couldn’t sleep. My mind kept trying to come up with an excuse, but I honestly couldn’t think of a good one. I didn’t know why I was hiding or what I was hiding from, but I knew that I didn’t like it. So, I came to the conclusion that he was right. I started to open my door more and he kept hammering away at the wall I had created. By the end of the next weekend, I felt like a new person and I was glad to have Jason as a friend.” I explained.

“And that’s when I decided that since Jason could give me a chance, I could give anyone else a chance. I never really had to until I met Kevin, but there was something he’s hiding and I want him to know that there are people that will give him that chance.”

“Was?” Brayden said, catching the subtle hint I dropped.

I smiled as I said, “I found the crack in Kevin’s wall. He actually seemed concerned when he asked if I had seen you yet. You should go back to your room when you’re done with class. I think you’ll be surprised!” I said as I stopped to smile, then continued, “Oh, and, I lied and said I hadn’t seen you yet, so he’ll still probably be concerned!” I said as my smile grew.

“You lied? You?!” Brayden asked, stunned.

“Only so he would talk to you with the same concern he used with me. He apologized, you know?” I said, smiling. I looked up at the clock on the wall, and said, “Oh, crap! Class in 5 minutes!” I told Brayden I’d see him later and went to get a to-go box. With all the talking I hadn’t managed to eat very much. Oh well!

----------

The rest of Monday afternoon was uneventful. Brayden had been at class all afternoon, and last I had heard, he was still planning on stopping by to see Kevin.

That is, Monday was uneventful until Kelsey came by, sat on my couch and said with a smile, “All right, spill!” I looked at her and pretended to be confused, but she just returned my look with a glare.

“Fine, fine,” I said as I laughed, “Jason won’t be back for another 20 minutes and I convinced him to lock his door, for once!” I said as I tried to avoid what I thought she meant.

“I already knew that, Lil’ Matt. Now, about Brayden, you, and last night. Spill!” She said forcefully.

How did she know already? Oh, yeah. Jason! I’ll get him back one of these times. “Okay,” I said as I paused for effect, “after I let him in last night, he came back here and apologized for not talking to me after I chewed out Kevin. I just told him he had nothing to be sorry for!”

“Well, that’s not what I meant...” She started, “I heard about that, too, though! Jason told me you had a nice use of a certain vocabulary word!” She said, smiling, “That can’t be all that happened, though. Jason said you were ‘glowing like a second sun’ when you left to go to class this morning. Spill!”

“I learned a bit about him, that’s all!” I said as I tried to make her beg.

It was working, too! “Like what?” She said impatiently.

I smiled and looked away so she couldn’t read me, “He’s a good hugger.”

“Hugging is always nice, but there’s more. Spill!”

I looked back at her and rolled my eyes, “Say ‘please’ and I’ll spill all the beans.”

“Fine, please spill!” She said as she exaggerated the ‘please’.

“After the hug, he kissed me. And I kissed him back. It was electric.” There I go, using that cliché. It was just the quickest way to describe it! “Then, I thought he was going to leave, so I begged him to stay. And he did.” I said as I tried to hide my excitement.

I could tell Kelsey was getting emotional, because her eyes were giving me the same look as Brayden’s after our hug. At that point, she pulled me in for a hug and said, “I’m so happy for you Lil’ Matt. Jase and I have seen the way you are when you’re around him, and we couldn’t be more happy for you.” Kelsey started to get up when she got a text from Jason. She read it and said to me, “Cool! Jason’s almost here with Brayden.”

I just looked at her and stupidly said, “What?!”

All she said as she walked out to meet Jason was, “Jase knows what you told me last year, and he’s quite grateful for that!”

I thought back to when those two were just dating and the night after I found out Jason was serious about his feelings for Kelsey. I had told Jason one afternoon that I was going to be a little late to dinner, and that I was bringing a friend. I kind of lied though, because I didn’t bring a friend for my sake; I was bringing Kelsey for Jase. As we walked over there, all I said to Kelsey was, ‘I don’t know how you feel about Jason, Kelsey, but I know how he feels about you. Whatever you do, don’t break his heart. He’s the best friend I’ve ever had and he’s worth every minute of your time.’I couldn’t stand to see Jason upset. After I got to dinner with Kelsey, I just left and told them to have a good time. I don’t know exactly what happened after that, but obviously they’re still together. I don’t take any credit for their relationship because he met her without me, but I like to think I accelerated it!

With that, Jason lightly pushed Brayden into my room and grabbed the doorknob and pulled the door shut. Jase has never had a knack for subtlety, that’s for sure!

I looked Brayden right in his gorgeous blue eyes and said, “Whatever he said to you,” I started, “know that Jase has always been like a brother to me. He’s a softy at heart, I promise!”

Brayden looked at me in a confused manner, and said, “How do you know what he said to me?”

I smiled gently, “Because I said the same thing to Kelsey last year before they were a couple!”

“You are incredible, Matt,” he said, “and I’ve had a crush on you since I saw you playing Frisbee.”

I pulled Brayden to the couch and we both sat down and leaned back against the wall. “Good,” I continued, smiling, “Because I really like you, Brayden. Can I ask you a personal question?”

He nodded, so I continued as I looked him in the eyes. “Are you gay?” After I said this, he shifted around uncomfortably, digging for an answer. “You don’t have to worry about what I think, Brayden. You don’t even have to worry about what your friends think. If they can’t accept you for who you are, then that’s their problem, not yours.”

He nodded again in agreement, and softly said, “Yeah, I am.”

“Say it, Brayden. Believe me when I say it helps. I’m gay and I’m proud that I know who I am.” I wanted to build him up, and he hadn’t actually heard me admit that either.

“Matt,” he said as he paused to take a deep breath, “I’m gay too. And I don’t just have a crush on you anymore. I like you a lot.” I could see he had tears in his eyes, but he also smiled. I smiled along with him as my own tears of joy welled up in my eyes.

I pulled him into a hug, resting my chin on his shoulder as I squeezed tight. Since he was a couple inches taller, I had to be on my tippy-toes to do that, but it was worth it! I softly said, “Now the hard part’s done. So, what do you think about us?” I said as the hug ended and he looked me in the eyes.

“Like I said last night, Matt,” he started, “I hope I never have to let you go.”

I smiled, remembering last night and said, “Good! Now come here, I want to kiss my new boyfriend!” That sounded good to say. My boyfriend!

I’d be lying if I said that kiss was like last nights’ kiss. It wasn’t. Not by a long shot. When I thought that kiss was electric, it was more like comparing a spark to a lightning bolt. This kiss was truly electric.

For the first time ever, I explored another man’s mouth with just my tongue. I ran my tongue across the smoothness of his teeth, explored the textured surface of his writhing tongue, the softness of the insides of his cheeks. And my tongue seemed to invite his to do the same. This man … my boyfriend … was inside of me and I was inside of him, exploring each other in ways that before now I couldn't even imagine.

I didn't know if what I was doing was right or wrong, but my tongue wanted to explore as deeply as it could. And I couldn't seem to find the will to stop it. It felt right. It felt good.

By the way Brayden responded in kind again, I was pretty sure I was doing okay. But whatever doubts I had were shattered when through our clothing he pressed his hard penis against mine. As our tongues probed deeper still, our throbbing penis began their own exploration. Rubbing. Thrusting. Grinding. Pulsing. Throbbing. My mind reeled with the overwhelming feelings coursing through me. All I knew was that I never wanted this to end.

----------

I don’t know how long our tongues wrestled as our bodies lay entwined together, but when we were done, we were both all smiles.

I grabbed his hand and pulled him to the door and said, “Come on! It’s my turn for show and tell with Jason and Kelsey”

I knocked on Jason’s door, and he invited us in. Brayden was a couple feet behind me, so I started, “Jason, Kelsey,” I started as I smiled to my friends, “I’d like to introduce you to my boyfriend, Brayden!”

Kelsey practically squealed when she said, “YES!” and ran over to me. She gave me a quick hug and said, “I’m so happy for you!” After she let go of me, she hugged Brayden with the same ferocity as she had hugged me.

Jason certainly didn’t squeal like Kelsey did, but he was beaming when he got a hold of me. “Good for you, Matt,” he said, smiling, “I can tell he really does get you going!” Jason said as he nodded towards my crotch. Holy crap! I didn’t even notice the wet spot before! I thought I would be embarrassed, but I wasn’t. I looked up at Jason and winked.

“So, Brayden...” Kelsey trailed off with every intention to finish the sentence, but Brayden finished it for her.

“Yeah, I’m gay too!” Brayden said. I could tell he was feeling better about it by the minute, and Kelsey and Jason were very willing to accept him as a part of our strange family.

As we all calmed down from the excitement, Jason’s stomach told us exactly how hungry he was. We all decided on pizza, so Jason called in and we waited. When it came, we had How I Met Your Mother playing in the background. Soon enough, we were all satisfied and wanted to relax for a movie. I left to use the bathroom as Jason picked out a movie on Netflix.

When I got back, Brayden and Kelsey were on opposite ends of the futon and Jason was cuddling with Brayden. Everyone started laughing when I walked in and said, “Not tonight, Jase. He’s mine!” He quickly scooted over to Kelsey and I sat down and rested my head on Brayden’s chest. I pulled my feet off the floor so I could lie there comfortably with his arm around my shoulder.

To be honest, I have no idea what movie we watched. I’m sure I fell asleep when my feet left the floor. I barely woke up when Brayden got up to get us to my room. He could see that, and just picked me and carried me off to my room and bed. When he set me down on the bed, I took my shirt, shorts and socks off. It suddenly seemed really hot in there! He did the same and I got a good look at his chest for the first time. Damn! He’s got the perfect swimmers build!

He joined me on the bed and I cuddled into him. “You know, Brayden,” I said as was comforted by his body heat, “Jase was right, you really got me going earlier.” I said as a sly grin crept across my face. “And I’m not so tired anymore ...” I finished as I dropped a not-so-subtle hint to my new boyfriend.

“Good!” He exclaimed as he looked me in the eyes, “I’m not tired either! Wanna jack off?”

My sly grin turned into a big smile as he caught on, “Heck yes!”

Since I was already down to my boxers, there wasn’t much left for Brayden to imagine. The tent grew quickly as I scanned my boyfriend’s hot body. When I saw his eyes, I saw he was transfixed on the hidden treasure in my boxers. I lowered those without taking my eyes off of Brayden, and my cock got caught on the elastic. As I pulled them down towards my knees, the elastic let my cock go and it smacked against my stomach. As it hit, I felt a cool splash of pre-cum near where the head hit.

As I felt all of that, Brayden lowered his boxer briefs. They were jam-packed full of what I hoped would be my new favorite toy, and my excitement grew with each new inch of skin. When all was revealed, my left hand began to stroke my rock hard cock with just the lube I produce for myself.

Somehow, I broke my gaze from Brayden’s show and saw his eyes were still glued on my cock. I looked back down at his crotch and saw his right hand slowly stroke his manhood. He was so gentle. So passionate. He snapped me out of my reverie when he said, “This is a crazy thought, but do you always jack off left-handed?”

“Yeah!” I said excitedly.

“Cool. I want to try something.” He said as he got up and walked around to my left side. His cock bounced with each step he took. I was still transfixed until he sat down next to me and said, “Lift your elbow.”

I did, so he hooked his right arm with my left. He looked back down at my crotch and said, “Okay, continue!”

I slowly began to jack off again, now matched in rhythm with Brayden. It was as if our elbows were glued together. It was a bond I’d never experienced before. We were connected by the rhythm of our passionate self-love scene. But it wasn’t just self-love. We did it for each other as much as ourselves.

Each stroke brought me closer to the edge. I could tell it had the same effect on Brayden as he said, “Tell me when you’re close and we’ll switch and finish each other off!”

I didn’t respond. My brain was too focused on the task at hand. In my hand. My heart pounded faster and faster until I had reached the point of no return. “I’m close!” I said excitedly. We unhooked our arms and I gasped as he grasped my cock. His hand was hot compared to the chill of my pre-cum. As I grabbed his cock, I heard him exhale sharply. I felt the cool slick of his natural lube as I matched his new, frantic pace. I felt his body tense up against mine as his cock began to throb. I sucked in one last breath as I watched him cum, and my own body tensed in reaction. The cum exploded out of my cock as his hand continued to stroke. I felt like I was in a constant state of orgasm until he finally released me when we were finished.

I was still trying to catch my breath when he said, “I’m glad you like it,” he said as he nodded down to his cock, “but I would like to get up to get cleaned up!”

I released him as I laughed, “I didn’t even realize I was still holding it! That was amazing!” I told him he could grab any towel and use that to wipe us up. After he was finished, he sat back down next to me and I cuddled back into him.

More specifically, I cuddled into his chest. He looked down at me and said, “I could definitely get used to this every night!” I looked up at him, smiled, and pulled up to give him a kiss goodnight.

It was a good night, indeed!

That was truly awesome, Matt. I have to admit I have a lump in my throat and some moisture in my eyes. Can't understand why!!!!! I'll be waiting to find out how Brayden and Kevin hit it off particularly since he apologized to Matt. There is always something soft within us all, it just depends on how deep it's hidden.

Thank you! Wait 'till the next few chapters come! There's some pretty big plans in motion...

Thanks! I'm not trying to rush it, I've just got plenty of time to write for now! I can say that there is no end in sight. I may not know exactly what's on the horizon all the time, but I don't want it to end either! It feels good to have my creative juices flowing!

And I appreciate the comments! I feel like I'm in an infomercial saying this, but what the heck. "But wait, there's more!"

Well, here it is! Chapter 5 is ready! I'm really enjoying writing this, so I don't think you have to worry about me losing interest for a while :). But I will say, and I really mean this, THANK YOU VERY MUCH to my commenters. It really means a lot to me to see people are enjoying this. I really encourage others to post or PM, too. Just knowing that others are getting as much out of this as I am is enough to make me want to keep going! Besides, who knows, maybe someone's got some crazy idea about something that could happen!

So, again, without further ado, here's Chapter 5.

Lost in a Dream, Chapter 5

I awoke Tuesday morning to a cold, empty bed. I didn’t have any classes in the mornings on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I didn’t have to be up for a while. I put my glasses on and rolled out of bed to see that the clock was flashing 12:00 again. When I got up, I realized that although the room looked familiar, it wasn’t mine. ‘Is this another dream?’ I thought to myself and went to the dresser to put on some clothes. I was cold, so I decided to put on some of this person’s sweatpants and a sweatshirt. The pants were generic, but the sweatshirt read, “Men’s Swim and Dive, 2006.” I wonder if Brayden would know this person?

I thought I might investigate a little bit, so I went towards the door to look in the mirror. Normally, the mirror was on the wall next to the door. I looked around and saw that there wasn’t one in this room, though. It didn’t even look like there was ever one in this room. I decided I’d open the door to figure out where I was, and immediately saw that I was across from Lukas’ room again. I looked out in the hall and there was no one there and no sounds coming from anywhere, so I backed into the hallway and closed the door. I was in Evan’s room again. Room number 244. I heard the alarm going off in Evan’s room, so I ran back in to shut it off. I tripped over my own feet, and face-planted before I could make it to the alarm.

----------

When I came to, I was lying face down on the floor of my own room. Or, at least, I was hoping it was my room. I slowly got up and sat on the low couch-bed and rubbed my eyes. My forehead hurt a little bit, but everything else seemed okay. I put on my glasses and looked at the clock: 9:22. I couldn’t remember if Jason had class this morning, so I decided I’d go over and find out. I put some clothes on and walked over and knocked on his door.

“Unnghh... come in.” Apparently, he didn’t have class and was enjoying his sleep. Whoops!

“It’s just me, don’t worry Jase.” I said as I walked in. When I sat down on his futon, I continued, “I had another weird dream last night.”

He asked how weird, so I told him everything I could remember. He was just sitting there thinking, so I said, “I still don’t know who these two are, but it was definitely the same room as last time. And, since it’s 2009, I think Evan’s a junior or older to have a college sweatshirt from 2006.”

“Or,” Jason started, “he’s got a brother or a friend something who was on the team for that year.”

“Could be...” I said, trailing off in thought. “Brayden’s on the swim team now, I wonder if he knows if there is or was an Evan on the team.”

“It may not hurt to ask,” Jason said, “but--”

“But it might freak him out to explain the dreams.” I said, finishing his statement.

Jason laughed and said, “That too, but I was just going to say, ‘but, it might.’”

“I’ll figure something out.” I said as I got up to leave. “Something doesn’t seem right about the whole thing.”

----------

I wasn’t too excited about either of my classes, so I was just waiting in the hall for my class at 2:00 to start when someone walked by and said, “Hey Evan, did you get a haircut?” I wasn’t sure what to say, so I simply apologized and told them my name was Matt. “Weird!” He said, laughing to himself, “You look a lot like my friend Evan!” He was right, though, that was weird. Hopefully it was just a major coincidence.

I was sitting in my physics class at 2:40, just playing with my phone. I have to admit, the more I wanted the class to end, the longer it seemed to take. This was the last 10 minutes of a two hour block of classes, so I was quite ready to be done. Unfortunately, I had my physics lab for three hours in the evening, so I wasn’t going to be able to spend a lot of time with Brayden today.

As I left class, I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and called Jason. I couldn’t remember if he had class, but I figured there was a good chance he didn’t. When he picked up after the third ring, I said, “Jason!”

I was pretty surprised myself when the other end said, “No, but this is his criminology professor. Can I take a message?”

I just laughed and apologized to the man, and said, “Yeah, tell him that it’s time to play detective when he gets back.”

----------

While I was on the phone with Jason’s criminology professor, I had gotten a text from Brayden. I opened it up while I was walking back, and it said, “having a good talk with kev. you should join us when you get back!” I replied by telling him I was on my way now.

When I got up to their room, I could see that they were both in a bright mood. “Hey boys!” I said as I walked in the door. I was immediately greeted with a hug by Brayden. I didn’t return it right away because I didn’t know how Kevin felt about this. He must have saw my concern and said, “Don’t worry, Matt. I know, and I don’t care about that anymore.” After that, I smiled and returned Brayden’s hug.

I had noticed Kevin was wearing a football shirt when I walked in, so I figured he liked sports. Could make for a good conversation, so I just asked, “I’m sure this is a rhetorical question, but do you like sports?”

“Yeah, that’s definitely a rhetorical question,” he said, laughing, “I like most sports, but enjoy playing football the most.”

“I figured,” I laughed, and asked, “does that mean you’re here on scholarship and playing for the school?”

“Yup, I’m not starting, yet, though. I redshirted last year, so I still have four years of eligibility left.”

“Impressive!” I said, “What position?”

“Linebacker. Coaches say I need to bulk up a bit more, though.”

“Bulk up more?! You’re already huge!” I said, shocked. He laughed and nodded, and Brayden laughed too. We continued talking for a while when my phone started ringing. I saw it was Jason, so I just told them I’d see ‘em both later. As I left, I blew a kiss to Brayden. Kevin really didn’t seem to mind, as he just chuckled to himself. I really think he has turned a new leaf!

----------

“Jason! What’s up?” I said as I answered the phone.

“Not much, jerk! Thanks for calling in class.” Jason said, sarcastically, “He was going over attendance and I was in the front row.”

I laughed quite loudly and said, “It’s not my fault you left your phone on!”

“Yeah, yeah, oh well. So, what’s the deal with the detective work? Professor got a real kick out of that, by the way.”

I hung up on him, but only because I was right outside his door. “Uhh, remember my dream?” I asked rhetorically, of course he did. “Some completely random person called me Evan today, and asked if I had gotten a hair cut. Tell me that’s just a coincidence!”

“I’ll admit, that’s pretty wicked strange man. But,” he said, pausing, “it has to be a coincidence.”

I laughed, but then stopped to think. “What if that wasn’t the first crazy dream I’ve had, Jason?” I said, seriously. He just looked at me blankly, so I continued, “Remember when I said I had a weird dream on Saturday?”

“Not really, but continue.”

“Well,” I said, taking a deep breath in pause, “that dream was about Brayden.”

He stared in confusion at me as he said, “You’re shitting me.”

I shook my head and said, “I wasn’t out of it that afternoon because I hit my head or anything like that. I was so deep in thought and shocked that I didn’t know what to say.”

“Ho-ly fuck. You’re, like, psychic or something!”

I looked at him, and just started laughing. “Psychic? You’re crazy! I met Brayden later that day. I still have no clue who Lukas and Evan are. Evan might look like me, but that’s all I’ve got on them.”

“You’re right, I guess,” Jason said and smiled, “but, if anything else comes up on this front, tell me right away. Playing detective is fun! I still think it’s all pretty crazy, though.”

“What’s pretty crazy?” Said a voice from behind me. Brayden!

“Hey babe!” I said, giving him a kiss, “I was just telling Jason that I found out today that I have a doppelgänger.”

“What?!”

“Yeah, some dude walked by me and said, ‘Hey Evan, did you get a haircut?’” I said, pausing, “So, know any Evan’s? Jase doesn’t.”

“I’ve only been here a few weeks,” Brayden reminded us, “so the only people I really know are on the swim team, here in the dorm, or in one of my classes. But no, I don’t know anyone named Evan.”

“Bummer!” I said, “I wanna meet him!”

“Say, that reminds me. I’ve got dinner with a friend from the swim team tonight, so you’re on your own!”

“That’s okay,” I started, “I’ve got my physics lab tonight, so I have to eat early anyway. Which reminds me, I should probably eat something soon!”

----------

The rest of the evening was eventless. My lab was really easy tonight, so we got out about an hour and a half early. I texted Brayden when I got back and said he could come by if he wanted, but I didn’t get a response for a while. He was probably out running or doing something productive, so it really didn’t bother me. I had some homework for tomorrow that I needed to get done yet, so I just decided to work on that.

He (finally) responded around 11:00, telling me that he had gone swimming with his friend and that his phone had died. I replied, saying that I had been productive enough to get my homework done. “I’m just lying in bed watching HIMYM, you can come join if you want!” I said in the last text I sent to him. (HIMYM is short for How I Met Your Mother, by the way.)

I was half asleep waiting for a response when I heard a soft knock at the door. “Come on in,” I said, “I’m just watching TV.” I had figured it was Brayden, but I didn’t know for sure.

“Yeah, I know,” a familiar voice said, “you invited me down and said that already!”

I smiled and sat up as he walked in and gave me a peck on the lips. “So,” I said, “how was swimming?”

“Oh man, I am so out of shape. This season’s gonna kick my ass if I don’t get in shape soon!” He said, acting exhausted.

“Somehow I think you’re exaggerating just a little bit.” I said, laughing, “And who was it you swam with? The same guy you ate dinner with, too?”

“Yeah,” he started, “His name’s Lukas. He said he had to be back to his dorm for his duty shift, though.”

After I heard the name, I tried my hardest to hold the shock in. ‘Is that the Lukas that’s been a part of my dreams?’ I thought. I mustn’t have held the surprise in, though, because Brayden looked at me confused, and said, “Uhh, what’s wrong? Do you know him?”

“No, but the name seems familiar.” I lied. “Isn’t he the campus’ hot shot swimmer?”

“Hot shot? No, I don’t think so. He’s a pretty relaxed guy.” Brayden said.

“Huh,” I said, “oh well, I guess!” ‘I wonder if he thinks I’m being weird about this whole thing. I really hope it doesn’t bother him, because I really do want to tell him. I just don’t want to freak him out. There will be a time when I have to, I just hope he’s okay with all of it when that time comes...’ I thought while staring off.

“Earth to Matt... Hello, Matt, this is Earth. Are you still there?” He said as he waved his hand in front of my face.

“Matt to Earth, we have a signal,” I said, smiling, “Sorry about that, I guess I’m just getting tired. Are you going to stay tonight?” I asked, trying to give him the best puppy dog face that I could muster.

“Aww, how could I resist that face?” He asked, but then answered himself, “But, I’m going to have to tonight. I already told Kevin I’d be back before midnight so I don’t get locked out again and I’m not exactly as tired as you are! Sorry babe!”

“Fine!” I said, trying to change my reaction to a pout. “But you owe me! You gotta stay tomorrow and the next night!”

“Okay, okay!” He said, laughing, “Tomorrow and the next night we’ll cuddle all night long. It’s a date! Or a sleep over, whichever you prefer to call it!” Before he started to get up, he leaned in for a kiss and said, “Good night and sweet dreams, Matt!”

“Good night and sweet dreams to you too, babe!” I said, waving as he left the room. I laid back down on the couch-bed and remembered myself saying a week ago that I wouldn’t get lazy and sleep on this couch every night. It looks like I was going to!

‘Sweet dreams, Matt’ I thought, ‘I really hope they are.’

To be continued...

Wow, Matt, this is getting excitingly eerie. Another couple of pieces to the puzzle have reared their heads what with being called Evan and now knowing that Lukas is probably the strange RA from the dreams. What will this next nights sleep produce? Also, Kevin seems to have dropped his defensive attitude and joined the calmer and less judgmental world. Good for him. It would be funny to learn that he may be gay himself and it was all a defense mechanism. I'm truly enjoying this story, Matt. Thanks.

Great read, Justanothershyguy. I hope Brayden doesn't run into any of the guys from Swim Team or else Matt might lose him to their depravity :sex:.
