  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Lost my kitty...

PAWS...the poster that so depresses. I'd say fuckwad but it
would probably get me banned for a week.

And still wouldn't help Blackie out. Blackie, I aint gonna paint no pretty pitchers but
when my Sylvester (spayed) used to sneak out (and he was a running little whore) I
finally learned a little fresh food and water every day at the door he escaped from and
in 5-7 days he'd show up, somewhat bedraggled but home. This went on for 16 yrs
and 3 change of state moves. He finally left for catnip country under my bed while I was
at work.

La Reyna (current house goddess) started as a feral (wild) kitten....now, she escapes
and I just push the garage door opener and MS chicken shit races for the cat door...
Enough of that, you have my empathy ad my fingers are crossed for you, mom and kitty.

Do you have any shirt or any other piece of clothes that she was sitting on before she left? If you didn't clean that laundry yet, hang it outside your house on a tree or something. The wind will carry her scent to her, at least to your immediate block and she should be able to track herself back.

Also, inform your vet and place fliers at your vet's office. Often, people will find animals and take them to a vet shortly. The vet's office could help you if someone brought your cat in.

Leaving her food outside will also help. Sure, it could attract other cats, but there's always a chance that it will attract her back too. Leaving her litter box out will also help as she could track the home with her scent.

Fan DAMN tastic.

Wonderful way to start of a new month and finish up a week.

Isn't it amazing how those damn 'dumb' animals can burrow into you heart?

Take that kind hearted animal lover a nice little thank you gift. Her generous

and loving act needs to be acknowledged....but then I'm sure you already knew

that.......anyway ..|\:/:band:\:/..|.

ok, ok. I'm a sucker for a happy ending.

Im glad you found her and that someone had her for you. Just like my cat I figured she wasnt far away.

Wonderful. That news made my day. (!) Get her a collar, or chip or tat now. And love her and pamper her.

Wow, I am sooo glad you found your kitten! Having 5 cats myself, I can very much relate.

I'm so happy that Mittens was found! Your neighbor is a terrific and smart person, and should be recognized. What a terrific ending to this story! :D

Just found this thread tonight and read through the whole thing with growing trepidation.

What a relief (I nearly cried) to hear that Mittens was found and she's home with you.

So glad!

So glad that your ordeal ended with a happy reunion!

I've been thinking about getting a cat myself, so it's been helpful for me reading this thread. Thank you for sharing!

I'm sure she has stories to tell.

Glad to hear she's back safe and sound.

I'm sure the lady will appreciate the flowers..|

I'm lucky to have a cat that is deathly afraid of the outdoors. She runs away from an open door and hides untill it's shut.

Cool news. Try to take her to a vet to see if she's fine, and get a collar. No use putting her name on it, just put down your house number. Micro chip would be cool too.

Side note, related story... we once lost our African Grey parrot and fortunately the little guy knew our phone number so he kept saying it to the people who found it and we got it back :)

Hello everyone! I wanted to send out a huge thank you for being part of the campaign to find Mittens. After 6 days without any substantive sightings she has been found!!

She was 1 street over. A very kind woman coaxed her into the house with some salmon. Thank you all again!!!

I MISSED this part.......
I'm VERY happy for you.......and for Mittens too......bad things COULD have happened......but didn't....... :D

Excellent news !

King Simba approves !

This is the second time. I don't like being dictated to. I will do as I please in terms of rewarding the woman.

Anyway, here is a photo of mittens. She might have a bit of a cold after being out so long, her vet appointment may be before Saturday.

Such a cute wittle puddy tat. Give her a hug for me.
