I have been rewatching my LOST DVD's for the past week since I am getting Season 4 for a christmas present, so I was wondering (as I have suffered from watery eyes while watching) whether any of you who watch the show have shed a tear or two during some scenes.

There will be spoilers here for those who haven't watched the show, obviously.

One scene that makes me cry (and is most prominent because I have just watched it) is when Rose and Bernard are reunited during Season 2.

There's also the scene in Season 4 when Sun is flying off in the helicopter and the freighter which Jin is on spectacularly explodes. Her screams are devastatingly pure and I just well up every time I watch it. (I don't think he's dead though)

Anyone else want to share?

Apparently, most of season 5 is supposed to be set mostly off of the island focusing on them getting back to the island with less flashbacks/forwards.

I am looking forward to this upcoming season greatly.

I can't wait to see what happens to Claire - although I don't think that is being covered this season. And I really want to see what happens with Juliet, seems like she has some good parts in the promo.

Thanks for the video I hadn't seen it yet, it looks awesome although quite a few of those clips were from Season 4 and some earlier than that.

I can't wait for the end of the show, but at the same time I don't want it to end. It'll be like the Harry Potter books. (Obviously only those who were obsessed with Harry Potter can relate lol)

I never shed a tear for LOST...

but some episode were really just sooooo awfulyyyy sadddd

especially the SUN/JIn episode of S.4...

problly the best episode of the show so far

I wish I could get the appeal of LOST, but am happy for those of you who do. Must have been born without that gene.

I don't think there's a gene. Sometimes I don't like where it's going... I liked the first Season when everything looked magical and I thought it was a fantasy show - then it's more about the scientist stuff and I'm like... meh.
But the characters keep me interested - Charlie was my favourite (he's dead now) *sniffs* but I like Claire and Juliet. Sun and Jin are good too - Daniel Dae Kim is so hot!

Back on to topic - I don't think there's a gene, it's just a case of it not being your cup of tea; I know plenty of people who don't watch LOST, there's also those who started watching but then stopped halfway through. So I don't think you're wrong for not liking it. :D

Yep, I hated that Charlie scene because I thought he was gone. Now he is gone and Claire has lost her lover - I hate it!

Desmond/Penny always make me cry - Penny is great that must be why since I don't really like Desmond.

I hated Charlie ever since he shot Ethan back in Season 1 because I wanted answers then and there. Damn that Charlie. I was happy when he drowned.

I might have got a lump in my throat when lost Desmond called Penelope on Christmas eve and she answered the phone.

I felt like crying when Boone was killed off the show. Not because the sadness of his death, but because he's so damned hot.

Nothing made me cry but the most emotional scenes are with Desmond and Penelope.
The first is when he calls her from the boat to be his constant. The second is when they are finally reunited at last season's finale.
If the writers kill her off because of Ben's vengeance on Mr. Widmore they will be stabbed. They are the only tolerable people left on the show besides Sun and Jin.

I agree with what others have said. "The Constant" was one of the few episodes to make me cry, mainly because I actually care about Desmond and Penny. Everyone else (besides Sun, Jin, and Hurley) are pretty meh and overused (especially Kate and Jack).

when Jack tells Kate he loves her... i tear up.

when Desmond & Penny reunited. i then in the "constant" episode i cried too.

when Rose & Bernard reunite.

when Hurley finds out about Libby... and in the jungle when he finds out that Michael shot her and he looks so sad/mad.

there are probably more... in fact, i think that i tear up more often because things make me so happy than because of sad stuff.

I don't understand why Kate had such a problem choosing between Sawyer and Jack, for me it was a no-brainer. She had so much more chemistry with Jack from the very beginning. But whatever, something interesting has to happen between them doesn't it. I actually wish the pilot episode had gone as planned and Jack had died - how much more interesting would life have been on the island without a surgeon!?

Did anyone else hate it when they killed off Shannon? I think she had so much potential as a character and she hadn't been developed fully. I didn't find her spoilt behaviour annoying, I think it added a lot more diversity to the character roster. There were so many other people they could have killed off.

I don't know if it's just me that wanted Sawyer to be killed off during Season 3 lol.

I don't particularly like Desmond but Penny is great. Probably one of the best characters. Yes, the happy things are sadder than the sad things?
When Hurley told Claire that Charlie was dead was quite a sad moment - and I love Charlie and Claire - but it didn't make me cry because I don't think it was very well scripted. And also I am quite angry that afterward Claire was all happy again, the epsiodes we saw her in after that she was just normal Claire - that was a bad decision from the writer's. While I understand that they didn't want her to be moping all through Season 5 and they put her in the shack with Christian, why did they show her being all fine in the barracks?

i have to say that i think the best scene from the series is when Jack, Sawyer, Kate and Hurley are in the field and the others shoot & paralyze them. it puts me on edge and scares the shit out of me for the characters EVERY time i watch it. everytime i get so sad for Hurley because he just stands there with his hands over his ears and i choke up when Jack picks up Kate and struggles to carry her to safety. i think that is the moment when it becomes truly clear how much he loves her... best scene.

I never thought of that scene that way, maybe when I get to that episodeI'll actually see it that way now you've pointed it out.

I always saw it as Jack helping the nearest person, I think he would have done the same had it been Claire or any other woman. Jack is a protective guy.

maybe. for me that scene just seems like a huge testament of how much Jack cares for Kate though.

I cant wait for Season 5 !!!!!!!!

ahahaha

another cry parts...

when boon died.. that was just really sad

after watching that trailer, i'm very excited about season 5. since the end of 4 i've thought that 5 was just going to be very kick-ass. i'm excited to see what happens on the island as Locke takes on the leadership role, and from the clips it looks like there will be some kind of war between the Others and the Losties! Jack VS. Sayid is going to be one hell of a fight... although i'm fairly sure that Sayid would take Jack without a problem.

what i'm most curious about this season is what made Sayid change his mind and work for Ben...

The Sayid working for Ben thing was shown during season 4... Nadia was killed and Ben said it was by Whidmore's people, so Sayid went along with Ben to avenge her. (Who she was actually killed by, I have no idea)

I think Sawyer might take on the leadership role with the losties and Juliet, but Locke is the overall leader. I think they'll be something between Sawyer and Juliet as well, I just have a feeling - I hope Juliet doesn't get killed off (Elizabeth Mitchell is the most fabulous actress to have graced the screens of LOST; gorgeous too!)

Why is there going to be a fight between Jack and Sayid?

I didn't find Boone dying that sad - apart from Shannon crying over his dead body - I don't thiink he was that hot.

Dominic Monaghan who plays Charlie has always been my man (I know; weird taste in men right?)

in that trailer it shows Jack and Sayid fighting.

I just watched it and saw them fighting, now I'm really curious.

Could it possibly be just Jack trying to persuade them all to go back to the island and they all have their own reasons not to go back - I hope not because that would be pretty boring so I doubt it's that too LOL!
