LOST - parts that make you cry. *

well it really all depends ont whether

- u can't change the past Or
- Dan was mistaken....

ANd I think Ben's NOT dead...
if he was dead then Juliet sawyer .... wouldnt be in 1977 right ??
coz its his fault they were put in that timeframe....

so he's not dead ... for sure

Of course Ben is not dead. The island won't let him die (at least not this way). Just like it never let Locke die on several occasions.

Oh please say Ben is dead! I think he might be, and suddenly the future Ben will cease to exist!

Besides that crappy child actor needs to go! I mean, yeah they picked him because he looks like young Ben - but he's seriously untalented. Get him off!

dont say ben is dead... or i go back in 1977, on the island and kill this delciious Juliet ... ???!!

K ??? loooool

^Lol. Ok.
The episode wasn't very spectacular was it? Sayid's episodes are always crap and this was no exception. Just tells you that the woman he was with isn't a police woman like we assumed she was.

Boring episode. Except for Hurely's kitchen bit and the Juliet and Kate interaction.

And Sayid shooting Ben.

Ben certainly looked dead though...
Won't Jin get the blame? He's right there next to Ben's body?

ahahahaahhah

yeah I dont like sayid... that sucked hardcore

the only good thing was the end..

He has always been one of the most boring characters - and everyone used to say, oh Sayid's always right. No he isn't. He's nearly always wrong.

If Ben is still alive, I hope we don't have to put up with too much of that child actor...

Trying to figure out if the truth drug he got could have been LSD I read the wikipedia page on it.
I knew timothy leary was one of the creators of LSD.
Turns out a guy working with him was named Richard Alpert.
WTF?

and what about that vile amy (horace's wife)? "we need to do this for our children!" yeah .. right. something fishy there. remember she was the one picnicking with others in the jungle ..

Ben is alive! Duh, guys. But as someone here said, this does give Ben a reason to hate the Losties......
But once the Dharma find out that Ben caused all the commotion that led to Sayid escaping...the Losties might have to protect him from them (i.e.----give him to the Others to hide him.)

Considering they've built the entire show around Ben for the last 3 seasons, I don't think they're going to kill the goose with the golden eggs.

But is Michael Emerson one lucky actor or what? He originally was told he was just being cast for the part of Henry Gale...

I Wouldn't Exactly Call It A Subplot. It Is The Theme Around Which The Entire Show Is Based. Widmore Tries To Find The Island. Ben Tries To Protect The Island From Being Found. The Losties Have Just Been Dumped Into The Middle Of The Struggle.
Like I said... boooooooooooring.

The thing that made this show different from just another ho-hum scifi show was the flashbacks. They went to a lot of trouble to develop depth and complexity in the original characters.

And then what did they do? They pretty much threw all that stuff away. Now the characters are just chess pieces moving around on somebody else's board. They can't really do anything on their own, they can only react to what Ben, or Widmore, or the Dharma initiative do.

Except for when Sayeed killed Ben, that was a cool plot development. We'll see what they do with it.

^well, not yet. Do you see whats happening. The Losties we have been following, become the Others--protectors of the Island,........and in time this new batch of Losties will become NEW Others, protectors of the Island. This has been happening BEFORE Jack and his crew, and will be happening long after 815 and it's crew.....and so on, and so on.......

The Others had to get rid of the Dharma group, which were trying to misuse the Islands abilities and powers for themselves (the reason BEHIND the original Purge....not just because the Others were "the bad guys"..they weren't.), and our Losties will/are beginning to see this. As will the 815 crew in time (in a "continuation" after the show is off the air) though we viewers will not be privy to it. You see now?.....

Referencing One Of My Previous Posts - It May Be A Result Of The Writers Spending More Time On Plot Development (Providing Solutions To A Number Of Mysteries) Versus Character Development.

But In A Way I Think They Were Always Chess Pieces Moving Around On Someone Elses Board. What Made It Interesting Was Not Only All The WTF Moments - But We Were On The Chess Board Too Trying To Figure Out With Them WTF Is Going On.
It's just that they spent so much time on the flashbacks, but very little of the material there seems to have been relevant to the stuff that's going on now.

I mean, does it really matter at this point that Kate was a murderer? They've softened her so much by now there's no trace of that left.

But who knows, maybe they'll tie it all together between now and the end of the series. I hope so anyway.

and they'll never ever explain it.... loool
even tho I thought they said Libby was an important character

She probably was until the actor got caught drink driving...

^I heard that when the show first started and they were still touch and go about how long they would be on the air, (first couple of seasons), that the insurance on each of the actors was very high (due to shooting off the mainland, all the back and forth travel, etc...). So an accident or arrest would send the actors insurance rate MUCH higher. They (producers) could not take a chance of the actors personal lives affecting their budget. So, even the slightest infraction would force the producers to let the actors go (three in the first few years <Anna Lucia, Libby, and Mr Eko>). But now the shows popularity (and Profits $$) are set in stone.....which is why the character of Jin was not killed off when the actor himself got involved in his own drunk driving situation just this past year.

one thing that concerns me is the fact that an upcoming episode features "Ben being judged for his sins, by the Smoke Monster". Haven't past characters who have been found at fault by the smoke monster.....been killed?.......

According to Lostpedia, Eko asked to be written out of the show after he lost both his parents the same year. Too bad, he was one of my favorite characters.

Michelle Rodriguez, everybody denies that she was killed off because of the arrest. Libby, I don't have any info.

But just in general, they need to kill off old characters to make room for new ones like Ben, Juliet, and the freighter crew. Otherwise they have a lot of actors standing around with not enough to do. And making big bucks.

That's probably why they killed off Shannon. They never really came up with a reason for her to be on the show, especially after Boone died...

WHAT ???
u sure???

well that leave place for a theory, that say that the smoke monster is kinda course correcting thing. Ben died when he was younger, so the smoke monster come to the future and kill him to correct things...

well maybe not.. maybe I'm crazy
