LOST - parts that make you cry. *

Yes, me like. This was a good popcorn episode. When Ben shot Caesar, it made me laugh. Not because it's funny seeing someone get killed, but because it was Ben doing what he does best (being someone you love to hate).

"Dead is dead" uttered by Ben ended up not being anything really significant though. It was just a sarcastic response to Sun who was questioning if he was sure he had killed Locke. He was just as shocked to see Locke alive.

One theory I am considering now is that Christian Shephard, Alex, and now a "revived" John Locke are actually forms of the smoke monster. It would explain why Locke disappeared while Ben was being judged.

I was expecting more out of this episode. Ben has done SO many terrible things, yet they are balanced out by good things........he DOES have a conscience. I wanted to find out....does he REALLY think he is doing everything for the good of the Island. But as the Smoke Monster said...'I know are planning on killing Locke again. DON'T!" So, is Ben good or bad? I wanted a stronger Judgement.

BTW---when the hell are we going to see Rose and Bernard again!? I miss them!

For me that was just a BLAST!!! Problly the best S5 ep... and It's absolutely in my top 5 !!!!
I fucking love Ben. Damn that character and that actor is sooo damn good !!! wow

They totally caught me by surprise with the whole smokey story thingy coz i didnt expect them to give us some answers about it in Season 5. Now we know where it comes from, and we pretty much can guess what it's up to.

So yeah now we know that there's some egyptian mythology on the island !! thats just great!!!



- I want to see the temple !!!! knowing its just the outer wall, im pretty sure the temple is GREAT !! i cant wait !! i really just cant wait... what if... some people would actually be livin in the temple ??? old civilisation or sthg... with jacob at the head of it ?? lool

- Ben didnt kill penny !! whouhouuu

- What is going on with 316ers ???? I was confused with Ilana. was she hired by widmore ? is she just random ? weird stuff

- Ben didnt know about the Losties part of the DI, meaning they left, or died before he came back from the temple.....

- Locke's now in charge... I wonder why Ben said to SUn, that Dead is Dead... he seemed really scared by Locke, and im wondering now... is he really back from the dead ???


well anyway!! Good good good good good episode... i cant wait to see the last episodes left of LOST S6 will problly be the best season ever

That, to me, was also one of the best episodes of LOST!

To find out so much about Ben was awesome - we knew he was an evil bastard but that couldn't just be down to his father.

Also interesting to see Whidmore being the leader and then being banished.

And the kidnapping scene!

There were so many sequences in this episode that were just so awesome.

More wasted hotness!!! Ben killed Caeser! Will there be any hot men left on the island by the time it's finished?

Are the 316ers new Dharmas? The shadow of the temple question seemed very "snowman" to me.

I wasn't expecting this many answers this episode!

I was thinking Juliet was safe for a while... Ben was on his way to kill Penny, that would fill the role of well-liked character being killed off...

Yeah, I found Ben not knowing they were in 1977 interesting too. This means he doesn't remember them... makes what Hurley said much more significant. Hopefully that is resolved by the end of this season!

I loved the final sequence with Ben being judged. It is really going to allow us to accept a change in his character - although I do believe it'll make his desperation to be leader once again more intense. Will he break his promise to Alex?

Totally awesome episode, really enjoyed it and seriously cannot wait until next week!

If it were any stronger a judgement the "monster" would have killed him.

Ben was forced to relive the moments he spent with the only person he loved unconditionally. (I mean really loved meaning his obsession with Juliet doesn't really count as love.) And he had to watch her die again - that was really quite emotional for a Ben scene.

Will you stop going on about Rose and Bernard? Every episode!!!!
We'll see them in due time and it'll be an excellent Rose and Bernard episode with lots of intrigue!

I dont think Christian, ALex or Locke are somewhat a form of the smoke monster...

IMO, smokey is like a guardian, a guradian of the land of dead...
And as a "gatekeeper" he can allow some dead people to come back randomly...

he brought back EKo's brother who knew everything that happened

and I think he brought back Locke, and Locke doesn't know yet he's really dead...

But again its just my opinion

Whoa! Now I think it makes a lot more sense... although if he is dead, why would the smoke monster tell Ben to follow him? Locke seems to have a lot more knowledge - I know he already saw the temple where the smoke monster went, but he still seems to be all-knowing. So perhaps the island is telling Locke where to go and what to do and then, Locke who is really dead will disappear and Ben will be the leader again. I don't know...

What do you think? I just want to reestablish my question in case it was missed in the long post...

Are the 316ers new Dharma's? The "Shadow of the statue" felt very much like the "Snowman" riddle that Desmond was asked. It also looked like they were using it to find out who was a part of their group and who wasn't.

Also, won't Whidmore actually believe that Penny is dead? They don't have a relationship and he never sees her, so he won't know if she is alive. I think we are going to see a lot more of Charles and his attempts to get Ben.

- U asking why is it possible that smokey asks ben to follow Locke and why he has all that knowledge... then again why yemi was knowledgeable and wise ?? why christian is all buddy-buddy with jacob ?? why claire is hanging out with Jacob and Christian ?? Why Alex is sayin that to BEN ?
Another thing Locke seemed he didnt give a shit Ben wanted to kill him why??

My thought : Because THEY ARE different. They all come back coz smokey is letting them come back for a bit for a Purpose... leadin someone, helping someone...

SO i guess I stick with that thought, Smokey & the anubis figure in the temple being the gate between death and life, meaning the island is not a purgatory but a gate to the land of dead.
This could potentially explain the healing property... coz if it's a gate... then u cant be in between... meanin either u fully alive or fully dead... (know what I mean ?) for example Rose had a cancer, she was doomed to die.. but the island considered her has alive when she arrived, she wasnt in between... lol thats kinda confusin but i hope i explain it OK

- The 316ers being the dharam.. well thats a possibility, but I would be kinda disapointed coz i dont want them to be around.. we already have too much characters to keep track of...

- yeah I think widmore thinks penny is dead, hes gonna try everything to go back to the island

I'm too lazy to read 15 pages, but I cried a bit in season 1 when Jack and Kate find Charlie hanging by his neck and after trying to revive him think he's died.

And any moment Desmond seems sad or disappointed gets me down cause he's fucking awesome!

Pretty good episode - I'm not that fussed about Miles but he seems to have an interesting storyline just now.

Hurley was hilarious with his Empire Strikes Back script.

The only bit that really interested me and actually moved the plot forward this episode was the whole Roger finding Ben missing. Seriously though, Juliet and Sawyer make one hell of a team. Looks like it won't be too long before someone is executed for being a traitor or they all escape into the jungle and become 'others'
The bit in the infirmary was the best. "I left for ten minutes..." lot's of quick thinking and then it all gets ruined by Kate... although I wouldn't have accused Kate just from what she was saying.

i really like Miles and the development from last night. kind of explains why he's so sarcastic, jaded and impersonal.

Dan coming back is pretty crazy, maybe they'll explain where he went and why?

now we know for sure that it was Whidmore who planted the fake crash...

i'm so curious about who the "what lies in the shadow..." people are. how did they know to be on the plane that would crash? was Ceasar one of them? are they with Alpert and the Others?

it would have been MUCH smarter of Jack to say something like "no, i don't know Kate, but it sounds like she is just some lady who is trying to be nice"

"you're just jealous 'cause my power is cooler than yours" best line in a long time. i love all the Hurley & Miles scenes.

Raaahhhrr! The best line in the episode. Everything else was just filler. Another ending which was not surprising; we already knew at the beginning of the season that Faraday traveled back to the past to the early Dharma years. So he got there by submarine, big deal. Not exactly cliff hanger material.

I bet Miles really DID erase the tape, and "whats-his-face" found the tape blank, and suspected something was up, and bluffed James....who fell for it.


Here is my take on Miles and his past/present. Miles is going to tell his father who he is and where he is from. They will bond. Miles will die. In his grief, his father will ban Miles (as an infant) and his mother from the island. Maybe thinking he is protecting him. And so starts/ends the loop......

^ that makes sense... and because he was on the island with the time/shifting thing, maybe that's why he can hear dead people? him telling Hurley that they stop thinking... he's only hearing the past, not the future.

i don't know. it's too late and thinking about LOST makes my brain hurt a little.
