True, even for a recap show, it did suck. In past recap shows they would talk about things that were not obvious and give some clues. This time, it was a pure recap that just summarized what we already knew about the O6.

But, this did not count as one of the originally planned 17 season 5 episodes. Next week is episode 14, then 15, then the last week is the Lost finale which always counts as a double episode, so 16 & 17.

Nope. Just a compilation of past events focusing on the O6, with the narrator that has done some previous recaps. It really does puzzle me why ABC would produce such a thing at this point. The only people who watch this show now are the hardcore fans that have been with the show since the beginning. So doing this recap isn't going to interest any of them. They would have been better off showing us an enhanced rerun episode (which reveals tidbits which may have not been noticed the first time.)

Oh right, so it's the narrator as in the woman, who says something and then adds "... Whoa." In a really underdramatic way as if we're stupid for thinking WTF!
She's hilarious but slightly annoying.

no, as in guy, the narrator heard in the first minute of this one from the beginning of the season. .


But unlike that one, this weeks' show had no discussions with the producers. Really, it was a waste of time for anyone that has been following the show. You missed nothing.
 
What a stupid thing, why not just decide not to air anything then, would've made far more sense. And would have been less tedious for the people who have followed the show from the beginning and don't need recaps.

Lost's Henry Ian Cusick sued for sexual harassment

Lost star Henry Ian Cusick is being sued by a former ABC employee who alleges sexual battery and harassment against the actor.

According to the suit, filed yesterday in Los Angeles court and posted in its entirety at E! Online, Cusick, who plays Desmond Hume on the show, allegedly squeezed and placed his face on the plaintiff's breasts, kissed her on the mouth, and caressed the back of her body while making moaning sounds. The plaintiff claims the incident occurred on the set of the hit series on or about October 16, 2007, and that she was she was fired 12 days later, in retaliation for reporting Cusick's behavior.

This weeks episode is called "The Variable". Which is the opposite of one of the best episodes from last season, "The Constant". I read where these episodes are somehow related. Also, I think this is supposed to be the first episode that has Faraday flashbacks.
 
I take it then, that it is going to explain why Desmond follows different rules...

That's a video they made in the first season. Notice how it was filmed in front of the wreckage, which was cleared up a long time ago...
