Lost season 4

Ok...here are some interesting facts/theories that I have not noticed on here and thought I would share them.

1. "Sayid" is the Arabic word for "bad ass"

2. Ben landed in the desert on October 24, 2005. 10 months from when he moved the island. So we assume that the island move forward in time 10 months, or the island moved forward more than 10 months and that was when Ben was dropped.

3. Jeremy Bentham aka John Locke - He actually got the name from a 19th century philosopher. On his death, he asked that his head/body be preserved. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremy_Bentham

Well the plane was brought down by the electromagnet. But I'm still undecided as to whether I think there's a reason that these certain people were on the plane (as they all had very specific reasons for being there) or if the writers were just trying to make a point about how people's lives intermix with eachother

I'm all for intermixing and mingling but when you have that many people who've all been in and out of each others lives in some way, shape or form all together on the same plane that just so happens to crash on that particular island, and then have everyone of relevance survive, it makes me want for a better explanation than what we got.

Of course, I can see what you're trying to say. Maybe there really is no appropriate reason for it other than connection.

The show has been explaining how some things happen. But it hasn't been explaining why they happen. Answers to bits of the story are being revealed. But together what the hell does it all mean? The big picture itself is still more a mystery than it ever has been. I suspect this will continue to be the case until Season 6.

There are rumours going around that one of the cast members has had her contract 'suspended' (for story reasons) and won't be appearing in the upcoming season, but will be back for the final one. All likelihood points to it being Claire.

I agree with it being Claire, although not appearing for an entire season is a little long.

The finale was probably my favourite episode yet. This show just gets better and better.

A couple of things I'm confused about:

1. Why do the Oceanic 6 have to lie about the island and the other survivors? Widmore has his agenda, but why would anyone else want to harm the survivors?

2. Does Penny Widmore know what her father is up to? Does he know that she was searching for Desmond?

1) There would be a worldwide conspiracy. People would ask questions, they'd be even more famous than they already are and people would go crazy wondering what happened. I know I would.

2) She does know her father is searching for the island. I can't remember how I know but I do.

My theory as to why they've crossed lives and seen eachother and things, is because their lives are on a loop sort of thing. They've done this before but they just havent realised it, I think one of the last things we'll ever see in the show is Oceanic 815 crashing on the island again. This time it just happened to be a time where they crossed paths.

1. At the time they left the island, the O6 have no idea where Widmore is or what he knows. One reason they have to lie is so that nobody finds out that other people are alive on the island. If Widmore would find out, then they know he would make another attempt to kill them. I'm sure Widmore watches television, so it makes sense to have to lie to the media.

2. I personally don't think we know for sure at this point how much she is involved with her father. When her boat rescued the O6, for all we know it could have been a trap she had planned with her father. Or maybe she really didn't expect to rescue anyone except Desmond. Who knows at this point.
