Lou Dobbs: "Hollywood is Trying to Indoctrinate Our Children with "The Lorax" "

Mr Shit-for-Brains Lou Dobbs works for Fox Lies. that says it all.

Of course they're going to try and make this a talking point.

Considering The Lorax is based on a Dr Seuss book published in 1971, 41 years ago this is even more ridiculous.

Didn't Fox try this with something similar last year? I think it was about SpongeBob.

Oh Lou..........................

Not shocked at all. In his final years with CNN,you could see him becoming more and more extreme.
He fits right in on Faux news.

Sometimes I think these guys (like Dobbs) do this just to see how much shit they can stir up. If enough people ignore them, maybe they'll go away like Beck did...That poor guy had to resort to doing internet tv. LOL!

Now we just need to show Lou Dobbs "In the Night Kitchen" and watch him pop a stiffy.

That's just bizarre.

Better "occotoddlers" than "robotoddlers" that the elephangelicals would produce. At least Occupy understands democracy, as do the original Tea Partiers.

"Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" raked in all kinds of green, earning $70.7 million in its first weekend to score the biggest box-office debut of the year by far.

=========

Seventy point seven million ???!!!

Holy Hoo Ha !

That's an *astounding* opening weekend for an animated children's film. (Especially this time of year...)

I doubt even it's distributors saw that one coming....

There's a whole lotta indoctrinatin' a goin' on, Mr. Dobbs ! ;)

The problem is that they don't ignore guys like him. I am always surprised at the number of people who rely solely on Fox News for their world view. Talk about indoctrination!!

Re: Joshua Me:
Since the Lorax box office "hit it out of the park" this weekend, was this a reaction to the condemnation or in spite of it? In any case, bite it Lou! :bartshock

You'll always hear cries of 'indoctrination' from Fox News and their ilk to spread the fear.

Yet you'll find them remarkably silent on, say, the targeted advertisement of products towards children where they are told what latest fashions and trends and electronics they should be asking mum and dad to buy them.

May I suggest, Mr. Dobbs, that you try "Corporate America Trying To Indoctrinate Children" as your next line?

I think you'd find more tangible evidence for it.

Just thought it bears repetition because it is the truth.

Lou Dobbs is a Jurassic OP-ED guy who has quite finally gone 'round the bend.

There was a wee bit of advertising ;)

like EVERYWHERE !!!!

that probably helped

key issue will be the upcoming weekend - will word of mouth be good and will people see it again

that's the movie biz

guessing that the gays supported with Zac Efron as a key voice in the movie :)

^ yeah advertising

advertising can work - my point is the trailers and the creative executions were good on Lorax - and they were everywhere - in kids TV, primetime, digital takeovers

and they had a good weekend too - no other kids films really in play

as for Zac, yeah i was teasing as in ....... can't see his great body - just a voice

^ Lou is over the top here IMHO

But I do think he got the shaft at CNN

Have not seen the movie - not likely to

Buy watch for weekend 2 to see if it's a hit or just a strong open

I would never have known Zac was one of the voices if Chance hadn't said it.

Not that I care -- when I see an animated movie, I'd rather not know who's who; I'm interested in the characters in the movie.

So, Zac Effron is trying to indoctrinate our kids?
