Agreed. I mean no offense when I say I'm not into, to reach into the past for a term, "sissified" men. To my mind, part of the splendor/appeal of a man is the beauty and courage that is traditionally expected of and cultivated in him. I'm attracted to men because they are men and everything it traditionally means to me to be a man; similarly, I am attracted to women because they are women and everything it traditionally means to me to be a woman. I don't "dig"--but do respect nonetheless--womenly men and manly women.

I have a mental image of a husband standing between his family and danger, his wife sheltering their children in her arms a distance behind him. Not to say a woman isn't equally capable of tuning someone up. I just prefer her to be a little tenderer than man might be on average. I think that's part of the appeal, at least for me.
