Do you believe that there is someone out there for everyone ("soul mates")? Not necessarily. Even if there is, what are the chances of meeting them?

Do you believe in love at first sight? I think it's possible. There's much evidence that it has happened.

Would you consider yourself lucky in love or not so much? Very unlucky. I've never been in love.

"'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." - Agree or disagree?
Yes, I'd say that's true. I've never loved, and that bothers me a lot. Could loving, then losing that love, be worse? Don't know, but I doubt it.

no soul mates, no love at first sight.

Love is the only thing that matters.
Love is the only thing that's real.
I know we hear this every day.
It's still the hardest thing to feel.

Suzanne Vega

i find it very hard to find someone i feel safe to truly open up to and fall for... so i guess that makes me unlucky? or maybe just picky/difficult/guarded?

Soul mates? Don't think so.

Love at first sight? No idea.

Lucky in love? Hell no. My love life moves between totally non-existent and utterly fucked up. This is how it's always been.

"'Tis better..."? Probably, though I'll have to get back to you on that.

I don't believe there are soul mates for everyone, but I think that there is the potential for everyone to have a mate.

I believe you have to know someone before you can love them, so no to love at first sight, but there is attraction at first sight.

I am lucky in love.

I agree with the last statement.

Wow - I guess I'm not shocked by some of the answers here -

Do you believe that there is someone out there for everyone ("soul mates")?
yes - How do you think I found mine - almost 6,000 miles away?

Do you believe in love at first sight?
i know a woman who decided 15 minutes after she met a man that she was going to marry him - they stayed married over 30 years until he died -- so YES - it can happen.

Would you consider yourself lucky in love or not so much?
Very - I have loved exactly one person - and that makes me very lucky -- to still be in love so many years later.

Agree -- Ref: "Garth Brooks -- The Dance" ..................

Do you believe that there is someone out there for everyone ("soul mates")?

YES

Do you believe in love at first sight?

YES

Would you consider yourself lucky in love or not so much?

Not so much

"'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." - Agree or disagree?

Agree

Do you believe that there is someone out there for everyone ("soul mates")?

YES, but likely a few people. Finding them is another thing.

Do you believe in love at first sight?

No. I think we fall in LUST at first sight. Love develops.

Would you consider yourself lucky in love or not so much?

Not so much. But I keep looking.

"'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." - Agree or disagree?

I totally agree with that. There's nothing worse than "what if?"

Do you believe that there is someone out there for everyone ("soul mates")?

Yes I do. You will find him but it won't happen like you think it will.

Do you believe in love at first sight?

Love? no, lust? yes! You fall in love after you get to know the person.

Would you consider yourself lucky in love or not so much?

Yes. I was head over heels in love with my companion. Unfortunately he died 2 years ago and altho I'm still in love with him it's different. Love never dies. It's true.

"'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." - Agree or disagree?

I agree. Love changes you. A person who has been in love enjoys life more than someone who never has. At least that's my opinion.

Do you believe that there is someone out there for everyone ("soul mates")?
There's a good chance but if there is you have a better chance of winning the lottery.

Do you believe in love at first sight?
The guy who brought me out calls that infatuation. Beauty is only skin deep and can hide the true ugliness of someone.

Would you consider yourself lucky in love or not so much?
Never have been even with three decades with my current one, nobody even approaches perfect.

"'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." - Agree or disagree?
Disagree. Been burned by other things so why love & lose it and get burned another way?

Do you believe that there is someone out there for everyone ("soul mates")?

Not for everyone at any given point. Maybe the best match for someone won't be born for five years after that person's death or something. I think it's possible, but the chance of it happening is slim.

Do you believe in love at first sight?

Yes, but I think true love is rare. I think it's mostly lust at first sight.

Would you consider yourself lucky in love or not so much?

I guess I am lucky. But people who are single can be counted as lucky too. IT all depends on your situation. I'm just glad I h ave a guy to depend on.

"'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." - Agree or disagree?

Agree. Could be painful, but it makes you determine what you look for in a relationship and whatnot

Do you believe that there is someone out there for everyone ("soul mates")?

Someone out there; no. A soul mate; yes

Do you believe in love at first sight?

Very much so. It's just simple chemistry.

Would you consider yourself lucky in love or not so much?

Unlucky. Toyed with.

"'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." - Agree or disagree?

Am I grateful; yes. Am I better off; no. Was it worth it; yes. He made me human.

Great questions!

Do you believe that there is someone out there for everyone ("soul mates")?

Probably, though there may be none for some people, and several for others. For me there have been two so far.

Do you believe in love at first sight?

Yup, happened to me.

Would you consider yourself lucky in love or not so much?

Very lucky. My life-partner and I will celebrate 19 years together on October 30th. It is hard to describe the degree to which our lives are inter-linked, despite the apparent independence. We saw or called each other every day for 10 months before moving in together.

My ex and I had 6.5 years together, and while tempestuous the strength of feeling between us was beyond anything in my experience before or since. Instant lust, instant love. Pretty much made a fool of myself at our first meeting, as I kept losing myself in his eyes (so much for Masters always being in control!). Two weeks and two play-dates later, he spontaneously blurted, "I love being owned by you, Sir." By the time he moved in a month later that was "I love you." I can no longer make fun of whirlwind romances thanks to that experience. !oops! While we parted ways due to basic incompatibilities, my feelings haven't changed. And I miss the balance in my life from the two relationships.

There have been several others who I felt the potential to fall in love with over the years, including one last winter. Amazing what leading life with an open heart will do for you.

"'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." - Agree or disagree?

Agree. Loss is part of relationships, it doesn't make them bad, it just makes us appreciate them more. What's more, every relationship is a continuous process of love and loss, the terms don't apply only to the start and end of relationships.

I'll answer a few Mr. Swisher.

Do you believe that there is someone out there for everyone ("soul mates")?
I believe it as a plural, there people that could be your soul mate, not just one.

Do you believe in love at first sight?
No

Would you consider yourself lucky in love or not so much?
I guess, the one relationship I had so far was very very good.

"'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." - Agree or disagree?
It depends on my mood and where I am in this love thing.

I can tell you I'd want to punch you if you said that just after a bad breakup, and I'd just as well agree with you if you told me that statement a few months after said breakup.
