I was gonna be a mommie to a rat as one of my friend's sons was tired of taking care of his rat. On the day that I went to pick him up, my friend met me at the door to tell me that the rat had died a few hours earlier.

Ooh lovely - I've got rats (three males); they get let out of their cage for a scamper about the room for an hour or so every night. They are completely adorable little animals.
