anyone else seen this wonderful gay tv series from 2020?

Very well acted, very well written. Not the soft mushy fluff I often associated gay romance tv shows.

I am very impressed with it.

I just wish a show like this existed when I was a gay kid struggling with my decision to come out to my parents. I think it would have helped me.

Too goey for my taste.

I think it’s really cute. It’s obviously aimed at teens so they deserve a gooey happy story like everyone else

I couldn't really get through an episode - definitely not my taste.

I kinda avoid anything that reminds me of walking and talking mannequin people in general.

Lol either it's too gooey or too gory/AIDS/death. Shows that aim for a middle ground don't seem to do as well as either of the extremes, though. I remember a show called Looking that I tried to get other people to watch but they'd just either say where's the drama or this show's not happy enough.

Personally, I don't mind the death aspect or dark/depressing themes. Better than the saccharine and cutesy crap that's too laughable for me to take seriously.

For me it is the casting that is the turn off. I dislike TV shows that rely too heavily on the TVQ rating for their cast. I start to think of the cast as ken and barbie dolls or mannequins - just put a different haircut and complexion on each one.

I liked Looking OK - I watched the whole series.

Nothing will ever beat Queer As Folk the og is getting a reboot might be time for Showtime to follow suit!!
