For years, I have been suffering from a significantly lowered libido and erectile dysfunction. Given the fact that I am only 22 years old, this is unacceptable. I have been researching possible causes for my condition, but I cannot figure out why this is happening to me. Many of the available explanations seem applicable to me: porn-incuded dopamine over-stimulation, venous leak, high cholesterol, stress and anxiety, hormones. Perhaps, based on my symptoms, one of you guys might be able to help me determine a diagnosis.

1. I never have spontaneous erections anymore. No morning wood, no boners when seeing a hot guy.
2. I cannot achieve an erection through visual stimulation alone. My penis does not react to porn or seeing a naked guy.
3. I can only achieve an erection through rigorous, lubricated manual stimulation. I must physically force the blood into my penis. If I stop stimulation, my erection goes away very quickly.
4. I cannot achieve an erection in certain positions, such as standing. It is almost as if certain positions cause blood to flow away from the penis, resulting in almost immediate loss of erection.
5. My erections tend to be somewhat soft. It is very difficult to achieve an erection while under the constriction of pants or underwear.
6. I can achieve a hard erection during penetration, but the physical stimulation is so intense that I must resist the overwhelming urge to ejaculate almost instantly. Even while masturbating, I have to edge and take breaks in order to make it last longer than a few strokes.
7. All of these symptoms occur during both intercourse and private masturbation.
8. I rarely masturbate or think about sex, almost as if I am slowly becoming asexual.

I plan to take this issue up with my primary care physician soon, but in the meantime, can someone comment on my condition? What are my options? Has anyone here overcome a similar predicament?

You must be sent to a Urologist by your primary to solve this.

I have been to a urologist recently, but for an unrelated(?) issue. I also experience heavy leaking after urination/ejaculation, so my urologist performed a cystoscopy on me. He found that I have an abnormally curved urethra. Nothing serious, nothing that can be done. He suggested applying pressure to the bottom of by scrotum to eject the excess urine, and it does the trick. I wonder if it's related.

Since you already have a urologist, this would be something to discuss with the urologist or your primary care physician.

Don't be angry at me for asking this, but are you attracted to girls at all? Is it possible that you have too hastily concluded that you are gay? I suggest that you watch some straight porn to see if you are more turned on by it.

It is not uncommon for young guys to be attracted to both sexes and to be able to function with both. It is fairly common for them to conclude that they are straight, get married and have kids. As they grow a little older they are less attracted to women and more to men, and perhaps realize that they were gay all along. There are a surprising number of gays who are married to women and have children. Yours is not that typical case, but it is possible that you turned toward being gay, when, in fact you are more straight.

I've never really considered the possibility that my sexuality might be fluid. I've never watched straight porn. I only vaguely know what a vagina looks like. That being said, perhaps I left a part of my sexuality unexplored. I've always considered myself 100% gay, with zero attraction to females, but there are some aspects to my sexuality that are odd for being gay, such as my indifference toward penises. However, I'm not becoming more attracted to females. I'm just becoming less attracted to males. :(

you have to see a doctor buddy so that they can run some tests. My libido dropped and I was fatigued, depressed, achy, etc. and it turned out that I had really low testosterone levels. I was given testosterone gel to apply to my skin everyday, and it made a world of difference. Some of those symptoms that you mentioned went away, and I was horny as hell with strong erections, morning woodies, lost fat, gained muscle and was much happier after starting treatment. It changed my life around. You owe it to yourself to make an appointment and seek help. Good luck bro.

When at your doctor for unrelated issue, did discuss the issue and had now?

and if not you really need to have another follow up.

Where all your labs/blood test normal/

and sometimes more in depth test's need to be done....

You and me are in the same boat man... well your case is worse than mine though.

u can def follow what these people are suggesting.
In the meantime try get with someone you could possibly date. I know in my experience I have a betyer chance of having better sex and less chance of dysfunction when im with someone I have a deep... or even somewhat emotional connection with. Invest in some horny goat weed to help you along the way for an extra push when you do meet the guy. 😍

Thanks for all the advice. I'm not ruling out any of your suggestions, but I do have some more information that may prove useful.

1. I have always experienced slight soreness after ejaculation, which I only recently learned from a partner isn't normal.
2. My penis is very veiny.
3. Sometimes, when my penis becomes semi-erect, it forms an hourglass shape, as if it is being pinched in the middle while the base and the tip appear fully inflated. Might this be caused by physical trauma?
4. I used to jelq when I was 16 or 17 to make my penis bigger. Could improper jelqing this have caused issues with blood flow?
5. I used to take the antidepressant drug Paxil for anxiety. I can't say for certain how it affected my sexual performance, since I never had sex before taking the drug and hence, can't make a comparison. But during the first month of taking it, it made it impossible to ejaculate or feel pleasure at all, though I could still get erect. After a while of taking it, I could ejaculate again, but only felt pleasure during orgasm, which made me want to cum as quickly as possible.
6. Kegels are extremely difficult for me. I don't even know if I'm doing them right, or at all.

I plan on telling my urologist all of this, but I'll be many weeks before I can see him. In the meantime, I'm gonna tell my primary care physician, though he is rarely ever helpful. :(

Your urologist should provide you with some assistance that might reduce your sense of concern...meantime, perhaps a referral to a psychiatrist might also assist....

Where does the soreness after ejaculation occur? The tip, the corona, the shaft, internally?
