"A friend of mine" Okay me, I have a hard lump under the skin by the join of the shaft of the penis to the base of the head.

It hurt when it first came up now the pain comes and goes, although it hurts to the touch. The lump is kinda sausage shaped in that its not a round lump its like a line... I cant really describe it, its a long lump I guess.

I also have some swelling actually in my foreskin and its making it difficult and uncomfortable for the skin to be pulled back without pain and discomfort.

My penis looks quite deformed, but the doctor I saw couldnt tell me what it was so she passed me on for a second opinion, I've got an appointment on monday, I was a little bit worried that it might not wait that long, but blood is still getting there, everything works and there is no numbness (such as pins and needles).

The pain is more of an ache, I'm just worried about the swelling and worried I might be told I need to get a circumcision which I dont want!

Monday isn't far from now anyway, but does anyone know what it could be, or maybe tell me if I should worry or not, its been there since thursday so in total 3 days. My doctor didn't look too worried about it, but she didn't know (probably should have asked to see a male doc)

So any ideas?

Based upon your description, it's difficult to speculate on what it is.

Hopefully, you were referred to a urologist for an exam?

Whatever happens, be sure to keep ypur appointment. It may be as harmless as a sebaceous cyst or ot may be something more serious. Just be sure to keep your appointment. Good luck and please LMK the outcome.

No unprotected sex in the last few weeks, besides the only sex I've had is oral and with one guy.

Going by the diagram its on the sulcus area, the line between the head and the shaft. If I look down on my penis its about 1CM from the center to the right. No pain or dischage, although it tickles when I pee, like scratching an itch if that makes sense.

No not a urologist, just a male college of hers, she had no idea.

Thanks for the help so far though!

I'm a little worried about this because I think I have the same thing :( I'm going to the Medical Center on Monday

An STI is possible.

But more likely is simple trauma from rough or prolonged jerking off.

The tickling sensation when peeing is usually indicative of an STI as reghapguy said as are your other symptoms - more than likely chlamydia or gonorrhoea :(

What if I have no pain or tickling sensation when peeing whatsoever? I have a little lump on the same zone (sulcus) and some swelling on thr base of the corona

the swelling is going down now, so is the lump, I think the itchy sensation when I pee is more to do with the pressure the lump is placing on my urethra.

Going by the internet (self diagnosis is always a bad Idea though) a blocking of the lymph node in that area fits all the descriptions, especially the weird shape of the lump itself (being more a line than spherical)

But I wont know for sure until tomorrow morning! which is like 7 hours till my appointment.

Aratron I'll post what I get told, but I think you should still make an appointment!

But it being an STI is unlikely, I've only been with one guy, that was only oral and like 3 months ago now, something would have come up before now, 3 months is a long incubation time for any illness!

Well my doctor said its an "infected cyst" but to be honest he didn't really look, the only thing he really said that was usefull was "it is not a STD" he gave me to antibiotics and sent me on my way.

Its clearing up on its own though, but I will complete the course of antibiotics.
