can anyone smell people's breathe from the lung and how do you describe the smell ? (not the bad breathe from the mouth)

Is it because they didn't eat ?
I don't know how to describe that smell but when you get really close to them you can smell it. Its sort of carbon dioxide from lung smell.

Just want to know the name of that smell or how you would describe it. !oops!

Not sure what you are talking about, but since one can smell a smoker even if he hadn't a cig in a while and is just out of the shower I guess you can partly "smell" the lung ;)

I mean most of the people's breathe (i met) smell similar. Maybe because of their empty stomach ? I want to hear how to describe that sort of smell.

Empty stomach smell or lung breathe smell ?
(their mouth is clean so no bad breathe there)

The lungs are one of the major organs of the body that excrete wastes. They eliminate waste gasses delivered by the blood. So, the smell of a person's breath depends on what they have been eating..

You mean someone not with "bad breath"/halitosis in the classic sense, but still with a distinct breath odour?

Sure. There are all kinds of things which can cause the breath to have an odour, from food to medication to disease.

Someone who's ingested alcohol will have an EtOH (ethanol) odour to the breath. Some medications will leave traces on the breath as, somewhat along the same lines, will some poisons. Diabetics may have a "fruity" breath, or one which smells like acetone (think nail-polish remover). Someone with acid reflux problems may carry the smell of gastric acid (tummy juices) on the breath. Antihistamines can do it, as can some anti-depressants. People with kidney disease man have an ammoniac odour to the breath, or it may smell like urine -- or piss, if you will.

Lung diseases, such as TB, can leave a distinct smell on the breath. If you ever have to deal with someone who's knee-walking drunk who has a rampant case of tuberculosis, you're unlikely to forget the smell. It could repel a warthog.

I had a three year old patient once who drank part of a bottle of Campho-phenique, who certainly had a distinct odour to his breath ... not to mention his multiple farts and stools. Likewise, a woman in her late 50s who's downed a quart or so of Clorox will broadcast the fact far and wide, not to mention being able to fry your nose-hairs. On the other hand, I've known hundreds of little babies whose breath smelled like milk, to one degree or another.

Are you referring to Ketosis? This term has been in popular culture lately due to diets like Atkins and Soutbeach. These low carb diets force the body into a state of Ketosis and the breath can have a very distinct odor as a result.

Good post.
the people i met, they all have the same distint smell (hard to describe) but what i can best describe is a carbon dioxide lung smell i guess.

My sister, mother, a few friends they all have that smell.

i don't know what ketosis smell like.

Ketosis smells like sweet fruity scent, not unlike very ripe pears.

It's due to the breakdown of sugars in the body into chemicals called ketones. In high amounts, it's causes a coma. One of the dangers of high blood glucose for diabetics.

no not fruity smell.
The smell i'm talking about is different. Oh well i would say its a CO2 lung smell but i don't like that smell also.

It's actually due to the breakdown of fats into fuel similar to sugars. It happens in the absence of sugar in a high protein/fat diet instead of carbs and sugar.

Diabetics can have a problem called Ketoacidosis, which is a similar process but very dangerous and life threatening.
