The worldwide market share of the Mac is just shy of 10%.

The worldwide prevalence of atheism is approximately 10%

I own a Mac and am an atheist.

I have three friends who own Macs - they are atheists too.

Is the Mac using 10% the same 10% that make upatheists worldwide?

Are they the enlightened 10% of the world, while the other ~90% scurry about believing in fairy stories and buggering about with Windows?

If you own a Mac you are likely to be an atheist and an all round better person.

A theory worth exploring more?

What about us linuxists?

sorry, but you're automatically going to hell. (*8*)

I gives no fuck about macintosh or god.

and my ancient gateway purchased for $700 is doing me just fine so far. :D

BenF46,

Mac user and Atheist of course. Everyone knows that.

Of course the dirty little secret is what we mac atheists do after dark to the icon of Steve Jobs in the little altars in the corners of our front rooms.

I am sure that p<0.05 on this little theory.

Thanks to JD for coining the phrase MacAtheist - I will patent that before it is hijacked by a certain international fast-food chain.

Mac is to atheism, as what Linux is to Scientology. i.e. One would LOVE it to be true, but your brain tells you otherwise.

Mac users seem more like they'd be Scientologists to me. You know, with all the jumping on the bandwagon and such.

Exactly. It's the new and trendy thing that people swear is life altering.

no,
it is just the cost factor and no competition for Mac sellers and support so they can charge what ever they like. Therefore i would NEVER buy Mac unless their pricing policy is similar to PC
