I can appreciate you're upset about having your galleries deleted. But you yourself admitted you had pictures up there that were copyrighted. It sucks, but the rules are there so that the site can protect itself and stay open. I hope you had your pictures saved.
 
When you upload photos to your gallery there is a message that appears on the page that says "you MAY NOT under any circumstance upload photos into your gallery that are copyrighted by someone other than yourself."

You can't possibly miss the message, so why did you do it? I really hate that you are upset about this, but we had to completely close the gallery system down a few months ago and it was down for a couple of months while we went through and painstakingly cleaned out members gallery. It costed us thousands of dollars in manpower and programming to do. We can't let this happen again and we can't pick through your galleries and try to determine what is (c) and what is not. You clearly had photos that were (c). As far as I could tell they all were.

It's a lot better if you could just follow the rules and not put us in the position that we were in to have to empty those albums out like that. It's not pleasant for us and it's not pleasant for you.

We want everyone here to be able to have a good time and for this site to be around for years for all to enjoy.

as we are not professionnal,. I pick image from the net and never form pay site, but the pics I am choosing may come from a pay site at first
how would I know that ?
so we are not the problem, those pay site should take the procedure to make sure their pics are not copied
and you should not be responsable for that neither us

I'm sorry to see you so resolute over this situation. I for one enjoy this place immensely and would hate to see it go under any circumstances. But this place is more than just the galleries, its the people who visit and share. I hope you will reconsider, but if this is indeed your departure I would wish you well.

can Seth controll the republicans in congress?

Its just illegal and if you are honestly angry that someone wont let you do something illegal on their site then you are a little bit south of the sanity line.

We all like looking at pix sometimes, but if people start breaking the rules about the galleries, there wont be jub at all, and there wont be any pictures, posting, links, fun, games, debates ...blah blah blah

over and out.

I for one, do not appreciate that you threatened the environment that i have come to for the last few years for community and support.

And another thing...

Whats with this account deletion craze thats happening as of late? we all know that means that you can come back in a new incarnation. If you want to leave just clear out the link from your bookmarks and forget the damn password.

when I get hacked off I just leave for a few days... sometimes it even turns into a few months.

What is it with people lately?:confused:
 
Yes, downontheupside should have plenty of time to reconsider his stand if the request to close his account was made in a PM to Seth. I say this because I'm still waiting on a reply to one I sent on July 23, 10 weeks ago!
 
I don't think that it is realistic to expect JUB to go through each and every photo that you have to determine if there is a copyright on it or not. I think that they did the right thing. They have to do it in order to protect the site.

In the future, just make sure that any photos that you have are not copyrighted.
 
Hey Down onthe upside, I appreciate that it can be almost impossible to know what is (c) and what is not both for us and for the mods. It must be upsetting to have your own non (c) pics deleted as well as the others because it takes time and effort to create a gallery and we appreciate the efforts as we enjoy the pics. But there are all those laws out there that use a sledgehammer to crack a nut with no room for reason and we and the mods have to blindly obey to be able to keep the site running. It would be a shame to lose you and your contribution, we would all be the poorer, please reconsider. I guess the only safe pics to upload are self pics but if enough of us do it and we don't (c) our pics we could include pics we find find hot from others galleries and sort of cross pollinate and end up with a good compromise. I guess it is ok to post links to pics as then you are not actually copying them. Perhaps Jub could look at that angle. Anyhow please stay part of the community.
 
While I enjoy browsing the galleries, I would rather lose the galleries altogether than lose the site.

In general all photo material IS copyrighted, even without a (c) on it. The only photo material you can be sure you have a right to post is your own or when you were granted explicitly the right to do so from the owner of the copyright.

So if you think a picture without a (c) is not copyrighted you are most probably wrong. Some photos are public domain, but it's quite likely that this is not the case with any porn material.

Putting a (c) on a picture just makes it easier for the producer or the owner of the rights when it goes to court.
 
I took the plunge, because I love JUB!!!!! I appreciate the site and dont want to be a bad guest here. I had some copyrighted material in my galleries, They were extremely easy to delete.

If someone invites me into their house I am not going to piss in the living room.
OK, there was that one time but he begged me to. You see it was like this.....well nevermind..........

Hmmm, maybe I should axe the one I have too (in my gallery). As far as I know it was public domain, but it's not MY picture and the last thing I wanna do is get the site owners here in trouble for having stuff on their site that someone isn't gonna take kindly to.

Just to be safe, I'll get rid of it.

ahh

i think a support ticket is accessible to all the admins and you will get faster action that way.

The owners do alot of travelling I have noticed, and they never leave the shop unattended.

Try Corny... he is rather prompt and helpfull, but I would still suggest the support ticket.

thats what i have found anyway... just personal experience

I never asked for my account to be closed.I did however send a PM to Seth asking for some clarification on another point, and as I said after 10 weeks am still waiting for a reply](*,)
