Tyler Perry always looks like he's hiding some weird secrets and lifestyle to me. I know he was raped by a woman or something as a kid but this whole cross dressing thing he does is weird to me. I have seen some of his movies and the worst part of them are him. It's like a serious movie with really really deep issues and in the middle of it this clown. I don't get it.

I have seen some of his movies and the worst part of them are him. It's like a serious movie with really really deep issues and in the middle of it this clown. I don't get it.

It's interesting that you say that, because I get the exact opposite impression from most of his films. I think he is the highlight of his movies. I know they aren't supposed to be straight (no pun intended) comedies, but honestly that's the only value I see in them. The serious story lines always seem a bit too contrived to me, the acting a little too dramatic and if you line them all up together, save for details here and there, they are basically the same patterned storyline. If he wasn't in it as comic relief, I can't imagine sitting through a single thing he's made. I would be bored and annoyed by the halfway mark.

I do have suspicions that he has a private life he's keeping under wraps and I don't think I need to explain what I mean by that. But I really could care less what he does in private. I take his character and 'cross dressing thing' for what it is.... campy entertainment.

There have been rumors about TP's sexuality since he started making movies, if not before. There's always been something here or there...even supposedly from people that have worked for him ( not to mention, I have heard his company sometimes, at least in the past, had a hard time paying people for their services ).

Considering he's quite a vocal Christian, and the Black church going community makes up a great deal of his audience... that has also raised more than a few eyebrows.
Yet, on the Oprah episode about his sexual abuse (which was horrifying), he seemed to assert his "heterosexuality" over and over again.


As for these posters... he's 'spoofed' things in the past with Madea, I think in images or certainly little inside jokes in his scripts. This is nothing new...

Except for a few criticism, I agree with everything U said. I don't care about the sad life stories Tyler Perry tries to get across. I just want to see Madea act the fool and get in a fight with cops.
