I remember posting not long ago that Dame Maggie Smith was terribly ill and hoped only to live long enough to finish filming the second part of Deathly Hallows.

Not only did she live long enough to finish filming, she made it to the red carpet for the world premier. She is still one of filmdom's natural beauties.

I really enjoy Maggie Smith's work. I am glad she is doing better.

Yea, nice to see her there. It was great. But the suprise for me was Matt Lewis aka Neville Longbottom. Talk about from an ugly duckling to a swan. DAMN! the man is hot and put all the other guys to shame. Alot of people wanted to know who this man was and were extremely surprised that it was Matt Lewis.

She is a superb actress - I'm glad she is better.

I'm so glad Maggie Smith is better. May she live until she's completely ready to go.

Maggie Smith's 'hideous' cancer battle

Dame Maggie Smith is determined to complete her scenes in the final 'Harry Potter' movie despite her ''hideous'' cancer battle.

(BANG) -

Cancer-stricken Dame Maggie Smith has vowed to "stagger through" the final 'Harry Potter' film.

The Oscar-winning actress - who plays Professor McGonagall in the hit boy wizard series - has vowed to complete her scenes in the big screen adaptation of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' despite her "hideous" illness.

The 74-year-old star told Britain's The Times newspaper: "If there's work to do I'll do it. I've still got to stagger through the last 'Harry Potter'. The cancer was hideous. It takes the wind out of your sails and I don't know what the future holds, if anything.

"You feel so ghastly, you wouldn't mind dying a lot of the time. The last couple of years have been a write-off, though I'm beginning to feel like a person now. My energy is coming back. S**t happens. I ought to pull myself together a bit."

Maggie was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007.

I consifder her to be Britain's finesr female actor.

She can play comedy, tragedy and everything in between.

I pray she wins her battle with the Big C.

She's very terrific...and very young-spirited for someone her age. And a very good actress as well ..| I wish she could live until 100 :D

Funny it is my sister often mistook Vanessa Redgrave as her

Damn he is fine. But not to be picky, he's got to do something about those teeth. He must have made enough money to have them fixed.

You know, the myth about Brits: bad teeth and they didn't care of doing them.

I skimmed past this thread and read it as Maggie Gylenhaal. I came back and seen Maggie Smith, but for some odd reason, I thought Maggie Simpson. I open the thread and I see professor mcgonagall. I'd better go to sleep now.
