Hey we've earned it! Years and years of being the buttboys of MLB and listening to the Yankees gloating, we finally got our just desserts!

The fact that the Yankees, after all these years of our jeers, now actually DO suck is just icing on the cake!

I was at the series in 05 I believe when the Yankees played in (the now demolished) Busch Stadium for the first time.

I would almost put them on the level of Cubs fan annoyingness. Such arrogant pricks.

But alas, Boston is right there too. When those bastards came to town in 2004, "their year of destiny" *barf* NEVER have a I met such piece of shit fans. Now, I know all fans are not like this, don't group them all together, blah blah blah.

Maybe it was the atmosphere of almost winning the WS or whatever. But I was so glad when those dirty accents left the yahd. Assholes.

is simply not true... the Yankees are notorious for starting seasons poorly then bringing it together later in the season, just as the Red Sox are notorious for starting out great and disintegrating.

Anyways, I still have faith in the Red Sox, and personally can't wait until John Lester comes back...

Jerryboyz, he red sox were 14 games ahead a week and a half ago, now they are a meager 7.5 games ahead... The yankees are on a 9 game winning streak and the red sox can't seem to put any runs on the board right now. Call me crazy, but I think I've seen this before.

I checked your age after I read this.

You might want to read some baseball history - the phrase "in recent memory" is not enough qualification since baseball is not about the recent memory of teenagers.

No real red sox fan is unaware of Bucky Dent, or would allow a yankee fan to start the chant of "Bucky Dent, Bucky Dent."

I have no use for the yankees att all and when I read that, I wanted to chant "Bucky Dent, Bucky Dent."

Is there anyone who could make some bold forecasts on season-ending awards for 2007 MLB? For example, the Baseball Writers Association of America's picks for Manager of the Year (both the NL and AL) as well as those Gold Glove awards (for fielding position, again both NL and AL)?

Looking over the April predictions, I see the Seattle Mariners are placed at the bottom of the AL West or next to bottom....

Is it time to re-evaluate the predictions, or will the M's start to fade?
