Make Me a Supermodel on Bravo

Well If You Ain't With Us You're Against Us. [-X

What the hell kind of mentality is that? There's not an "us." I don't agree with every gay guy I don't agree with every straight guy. I don't view the world from a black and white divide and if a person chooses to no matter what side of the line they're on they're just plain prejudiced.

Are there anymore screen caps or pics of ben out there? I love his body and he looks so hot in underwear. Nice ass too! lol My favorite combo Hot Guy and hot Underwear! :gogirl:

You have the wrong way of going about it, IMO.

I'm for equality. Not for "getting even". Voting for Ronnie on sole grounds he is gay is not equality, it is getting even.

And That Is A Bad Thing? As A Supervisor Of A Rather Large Company For 10 Years I Was Responsible For Recommending Applicants For Hire In My Department. Who I Recommended Were Hired. And I Recommended 100% Of The Time Those Who Were GLBT Even Though They May Have Been Less Qualified Than Other Str8 Applicants Simply Because They Were GLBT. Many Str8 Applicants Were Denied Employment Because Of My Recommendation. Oh Well.

Time To Wake Up And Smell The Coffee falconfan. Life Ain't Fair. And I For One Will Never Attempt To Ascribe To High Minded Ideals For The Sake Of Fairness At The Expense Of Our Brothers And Sisters In The GLBT Community. And Those Who Do Should Be Ashamed.

All Of Which Is The Reason I Voted For Ronnie. He Made It To The Final Four And He's Gay - What Other Reason Does A Gay Man Need?

Wow that's absolutely horrible. It's that kind of discompassionate, small-minded, over simplifying mindest that allowed slavery to survivor for decades. It's just this kind of stupidity, because that's exactly what it is, that has allowed homophobia, rasicm, and most of the other ills that plague our society.

And this is a fundamentally idiotic point of view for someone in the minority to stay. If you say that gays should help gays no matter what than one can only reason that straight people should help straight people no matter what... and you're out numbered buddy. Prejudice only breeds more prejudice and someone has to have the strength of character to stop it.

I love my brother and his wife. My parents. My friends and family and I would be outraged if anyone discriminated against them just as I'm sure they would be outraged if someone discriminated about me. NO ONE minority or majority should be forced to face prejudice based on age, sex, race, sexual preference, religion, food preference, eye color, handedness or any other irrelevant arbitrary trait.

So yes it is a bad thing, a very bad thing. I wouldn't be surprised if you can't and never will see that however because from my experience with prejudice people they just don't get it and there's no way to make them.

But my sympathy goes out to all the qualified applicants which you have screwed over because you feel someone somewhere in your life has slighted you in some way.

Ummm I don't know perhaps you think someone else is more qualified or you just like them better based on their personality and actions.... I know crazy thought, judging people on their performance and merits but I'm just nuts like that.

It's Not About Getting Even. It's About Giving A Break To Members Of Our Own Community. If You're Gay - How Can You Justify NOT Voting For Him?

That's like saying that if you're black you have to vote for a black candidate even if he's worse than a white one.

Just doesn't roll that way, unless you're just trolling around for responses.

Any of the remaining four would be a good winner. If you watched the series, they were all attractive characters in their own way, despite Ben's dumb moments.

IMHO Holly and Perry were consistently the best and, as the audience is probably women and gay guys, who have a soft spot for likeable tools, my bet would be on Perry.

Don't Let Your Tears Keep You Up At Night. Those Who I Did Not Recommend Could Have And Probably Did Find A Well Paying Job Someplace Else. But For The Transgendered Male To Female Who Had A More Difficult Time Getting Hired By Another Company - I Recommended Hiring Her And She Got The Job. When That Young Kid Whose First Job May Have Been Difficult To Get Because Of His Fabulousness - I Recommended Hiring Him And He Got The Job. Tell Them My Small-Mindedness And Lack Of Compassion Was Wrong.

So Don't Cry Me A River About Discrimination In The Workplace By The Poor Disadvantaged Str8 Applicants. They Will Always Have Doors Open To Them.

I would be more than happy to. Did you ever consider maybe your less qualified gay hires have trouble finding jobs because they're, as you yourself noted, LESS QUALIFIED and not because they're gay.

You can't ask people not to discriminate against you if you're happy to discriminate against them.

I voted for Ronnie because I thought he was the best. Just because Nikki and Tyson gave all the praise to Perry and Holly did not mean I always thought they were right. I think they unfairly put Ronnie in the bottom 3 when he clearly didn't belong there. Perry should have been in the bottom 3 a couple of more times than he was. Granted Holly did some fierce catwalks but I was never as impressed with her photo shoots as others.

Ronnie showed growth, maturity and a willingness to learn and perform as more than the pretty boy tag that he was awarded. In the cemetary shoot I thought the make up was at fault and not Ronnie. A good make up person can change appearances. But Ronnie was made up to show his pretty boy side against the dark make up of the others.

Ronnie is gay and so am I, and I won't deny that that came into play in my mind. His flirtatiousness, his sexuality, his openness with Ben, his image were all something I thought made Ronnie a hot commodity. He should have the crown. I loved his work.

I Think The Fundamental Disagreement We Have Is That You Base My Actions On Prejudice And Discrimination And I Base My Actions On Providing Opportunity.

A Bedrock Program Initated In The U.S. Many Years Ago Explicitly Incorporated Discriminatory Practices In Order To Reduce Its Awful Affects. That Program Is Called Affirmative Action. It Provides Opportunity Precisely To Those Who ARE Less Qualified.

And Of Course The First Howls Of Disapproval Came From The Racists And Hate Mongers Among Us. So If You Ask Me To Turn My Back On My Brothers And Sisters In The Gay Community To Stand With The Racists & Homophobes - Sorry falconfan, You May Enjoy Their Company - I Do Not.

Affirmative action is based on the fact that there is a socio-economic condition in the United States resulting from years of prejudice discrimination and slavery that kept afro-americans from getting higher schooling in a racist America. Another words the minorities were less qualified BECAUSE of racism and that was a large part of the justification in affirmative action. You can in no way shape or form say the same thing about homosexuals in US history. Homosexuals are not forced to live in poorer school district because of past racist acts. It's not a comparable situation. Furthermore the bedrock of affirmative action is to create DIVERSITY because there's a suggestion that there's an intrinsic value to it in the workplace. Nowhere does affirmative action say that whenever there are two people applying for a job it should automatically give it to the minority, which is the ideal which you are spouting. Now I'm not getting into affirmative action and my opinions on it here and now other than to say you're comparison is not apt. It's just your attempt to justify you're heterophobic actions.

If the situation where turned on it's head and someone said I"m not denying gays jobs because I don't like them, I'm simply providing oppurtunities to straight people because their my own. I highly doubt you'd find that acceptable.

It's prejudiced and it's wrong. WRONG. WRONG.

Wow, you should be fired for that. You should be recommending people based on qualifications not on orientation.

I guess there is a double standard in the GBLT community too. There is no such thing as "heterophobia" just like there isnt black racism. Give me a break.

I think it will be between Ronnie and Perry personally. While I would LOVE to see Ben win (and I voted for him) I think America would agree he didn't progress like he should have. He is still a little stiff in his walk, but that won't really hurt him on future catwalks. Gotta remember, what happens on these model shows does not reflect how that business may actually work.

I doubt the lady co-host (her name escapes me) did many edgy model shoots with her blonde hair and all american good girl looks. Then again, I have never noticed any of her work so I wouldn't know.

Ronnie's personality and talents carried him in this competition, and Perry was the same way. Holly maybe should win, but she won't. I doubt besides her great work on the show, many people will vote her to win. I mean her personality was kinda stale, and she didn't like Ronnie who seems like America's favorite.

I am excited to see the results thats for sure.

I am anxious as well. It's just that I hate for it to end. I thoroughly enjoyed this show.

it scares me to think that you may have been the previous "supervisor of a very large company." but i highly question your claim because what "supervisor of a very large company" would capitalize the first letter of every word in a sentence/paragraph. i think you're just Yanking Our Chains.

I can't believe you all get so worked up over this thread. It's a tv show, folks. :)
The side conversation has gone beyond the TV show to ethics, and what is right and wrong in this situation.

I must agree capitalizing every word is very annoying.
