Make Me a Supermodel on Bravo

I've closed this thread for a cooling off period.

One personal has already received a warning, and the jury is deliberating on any further action that might be needed.

Clearly we've gone off-topic here, especially with recent posts. I suspect additional posts will be removed after the jury weighs in on them.

Guys, c'mon. You know I love my TV just like the rest of you.

I am a reality show whore as well. I mean hell, look at my participation in the RW/RR Gauntlet thread. I love them.

But to sit here and turn a thread that was running along quite smoothly and turn it into a race issue is ridiculous. If you want to sit here and debate something in terms of that, take it to PM. A lot of these posts are technically off topic and have nothing to do with Make Me a Supermodel.

I understand you want to say "Ben is bisexual! Ben is married, he would never do that! Ben and Ronnie should make out! Ben should leave his wife to get married to Ronnie in Massachusetts!"

Opinions are completely fine. Attacking another member because of an opinion, or turning this thread into something that it isn't, is not fine.

Ok thanks. :D

Bravo's Make Me a Supermodel

I started this thread as a fun discussion about a TV show. I don't understand how people can get so worked up about it. Plus the discussion is so off topic. Tonight's show is a reunion and next week is the finale and the winner will be announced.

I thought Holly would be the winner but now I think there's a strong possibililty Perry might win.

I'm sure they will all get modeling contracts. The show is a stepping stone to get noticed. Not unlike American Idol.

Good luck to the winners and Let's be peaceful and respect each other.

^ I couldn't have said it better.

Please stop the petty personal attacks and off topics posts. If necessary, I'll go back and delete the posts, but I hope that from this point on we can all continue as we were. Also, please don't quote any of the above posts that were off topic to try and derail the thread again.

I'm going to unlock this thread so that those that want to discuss "Make Me a Supermodel" can do so.

Thanks.

I just saw the reunion and i thought it was pretty good. I thought that the host could have asked better questions. I love Perry, but he reminds me of the grinch. He's still cute. But that freaks me out. I was so happy to see Casey and the Bronnie shirts are too cute!!!

Perry is not as cute as I thought he looks kind of weired like a cartoon or something I think Ben should win

I think Holly has a sweetheart personality, and I don't think that means NO personality.
Not everybody has to be a bitch like Janis Dickinson.

anyway, who won eventually? I don't have cable TV.

Guys, it does not take a genius to guess who's going to lose. Bravos audience is largely gay men and straight women. That is in large party why almost all of the women have been voted off. The Str8 gals vote for the hottest guy.. and uh so do us gay men! Straight MEN do not watch this stuff much and I think it really hurts this show. I like Ben and Rhonnie too, because I can identify with them. But they should have never gotten this far. The only reason they did is because of the audience being represented by so few straight men.

Seriously, the judges need more say. I hope Ronnie wins because he's gay. But I think Ben has more fans on the Bravo forums. So I think it will be Ben.

Gay men + Straight women = Ben winning in my opinion.

I can't believe people are voting for Ben. Realistically he needs to develop his personality a lot to be a supermodel. Also there's no way he can stay married and have this career. He's gonna have to choose one or the other. ANd if he chooses his wife it will be a total waste.

I think Perry would be the best choice but I wouldn't be disappointed if Ronnie won. Frankly I think it's amazing that gay men are supporting a gay man. It seems like too many gay people are totally obsessed with straight guys and constantly finding fault with any gay guy.

Thank you! I wish they would have mentioned something about the sexual tension between Bronnie. :(

Uh yeah Ben suggested to Rhonnie that he would not be against kissing a man or something if he were "drunk enough". Which, Ben sorta denied to everyone else.. It was kinda odd. I think Ben was embarrassed about it so he lied. Rhonnie openly says he thinks Ben is hot and wanted him. lol, no question about that!

The whole thing is kinda stupid. I mean, Ben is married. But Ben let Ronnie continue to flirt with him and he seemed to like it. So In my mind Ben even encouraged it. However, both of them were really stupid cuzz now Ben's wife is going to show up on the finale.

It's a major - WTF were you thinking if your not even gay or bi?? :-) #-o

I always thought the Ronnie-Ben thing was a producer driven talking point for the show. It's fun on one level, but it's also kinda creepy and emotionally predatory of Ronnie to push things with a guy, who he knows is not only straight but married.

Most straight guys might have been friends with Ronnie, but wouldn't have gotten into the whole cozy and faux gay Bronnie stuff. My sense was that Ben was on unfamiliar territory and ended up, at least to some degree, disrespecting if not himself then certainly his marriage and his wife.

It's probably true that most of the viewers are women and gay guys so the voting tended to favor the men. But I don't see that any of the eliminated candidates were better than the four remaining ones. Though I did like Casey a lot despite his faults.

Holly was a consistent winner and is a natural cat-walk model. Perry's a tool, but he had the most charisma. I don't especially like Ronnie, who's too much of a drip, but he had his impressive moments. And Ben probably has the most potential. If he loosened up, he's good looking enough to be a match for Holly.

Holly should win easily. But my vote would be for Perry because my sense is that winning is that much more important to him.

idk, i think the Bronnie thing developed like it did because they were sequestered in that house for the entire season. Like one of the girls said, they couldn't have any personal electronic devices and really all they had was some board game. I mean, if you are stuck in a big house with a bunch of beautiful people and one strikes your fancy, wouldn't you get into it. I mean if there is nothing else to do, the mind tends to focus on the most interesting thing going on in your life.

Plus, I do think the producers edited the show in a way to make it seem like he was totally in love with Ben.

IF you guys watched the whole reunion show, Ronnie says that yes he had a crush on Ben, but would not pursue any sort of sexual/physical contact with Ben. Now they are just good friends, and just riding the whole "Bronnie" train.

Don't want to see Perry win. Don't think that he is that attractive and model material.

Out of the final four, Perry has the look of a high fashion model. From the way that it was edited, he did not seem to be versatile when it came to producing different emotions in the camera, or at least not as much as the judges made it seem. Honestly, if it weren't for Tyson's hard-on for Perry, I'm not so sure he would have made it as far. I'm sure Tyson would love for Perry to win so that Tyson would have more opportunities to work with...work on...work Perry...|

I thought (and still think) that only Casey, of all the guys, has the look to make it successfully in modeling. But this was, after all, a 'Reality' show, and not a real contest (there will never, ever be a job that would require a male and female candidate to compete against each other in the real world, for example), and the requisite storylines had to play out, and the smarmy host managed to milk them in the same way the editors did. I do wonder whether the 'Bronnie' T-Shirts were made up before the show was cast, or actually as a result of the storyline being received well by the audience? Are there 'Pasey' T-shirts sitting on a shelf somewhere?
Of the remaining 'models', I don't particularly care who wins. Ronnie has some weight issues, but could easily do catalogues, so I assume he'll make a career out this. Holly's set, because, as the last girl standing , she's already won her category. As I said before, none of the people left would ever be vying with her for the same job. Ben's got an okay body, but nothing special compared to professional models, and a weird , expressionless face. I see porn in his future. Perry is too tall and oddly proportioned ( a male Shannon, if you will) to do clothing lines justice. And his face is not at all versatile. My guess? Ronnie.

Perry clearly wants to be an actor and is on this show for exposure. He's got his exposure. He doesn't need to win. Ronnie and Holly legitmately want this and I'd be happy to see either of them get it.

^ No problem with who you want to win, but the comment about Perry having already got the exposure he wants for the show for his acting career is upside down.

Maybe if he wins, yes. But, if he's just a contestant, there are hundreds of good looking ex-reality show guys like him and thousands of talented good looking guys, who even get one or two reasonable film parts, and nothing comes of any of it careerwise. The competition and younger better looking talent are just overwhelming.

From what he's said on the show, Perry knows that if he doesn't win and/or pusue at least an initially successful modeling careeer as a result of the show, he'll be back at his bar job. And, from all the actor/models/waiters I know, he's absolutely right.

Ummmm there are hundreds of good-looking ex-reality winners. This show has done all it can for him in the act sphere and that's quite frankly not much
