EW Exclusive: Malcolm's back on 'The Young & The Restless'

Fans of The Young and the Restless who’ve been holding out hope that the smoldering Shemar Moore will reprise his role as the tempestuous Malcolm Winters are in for a rude awakening … the dude’s never coming back! But his character is: EW has learned exclusively that Darius McCrary – best known for playing Eddie Winslow on the long-running ABC sitcom Family Matters – has signed a multi-year deal to assume the role beginning Nov. 18. His debut will air on Dec. 29.

Marcus Patrick is ridiculously hot, but he's about as talented as a rotten log. He was awful on Days.

My only issue with Darius is his "Forgettable appeal/presence" on camera...On "Family Matters" he was "forgettable"...He could have been written off the show and no one would have noticed..

Maybe he's grown as an actor and will Deliver the goods..If he fails to win the viewers he'll get the "ax"...


Shemar Moore is REPLACEABLE as "Malcom" regardless of his amazing good-looks..Yes, he did win a "Supporting Actor Emmy" but his Emotional skills on screen fall under "mediocre".....Victoria Rowell is NOT replaceable and they've tried and failed...So "Dru" will remain lost in the wilderness...

If Darious fails we'll see "Malcom" getting shipped right back over-seas...

glad I'm not the only one that can't stand Eden...same with Abby...wish they hadn't aged her and Noah

but Eddie Winslow as Malcolm Winters?....I don't know....we'll see how it goes...I didn't like new Victoria at first but she's grown on me (Though Heather Tom will always be THE Victoria Newman to me )
