Well maybe I do. That place gives me relief of boredom, and sometimes gives me cool ideas about dating/hookup websites.

By the way the ultimate rejection I've seen on ManHunt is to see your email deleted unread. Ouchie.

So I take it you mean he was rejected and now he pre-rejects other people in his profile ?

I wonder why ManHunt lets you see that rejection instead of trying to sweep it up under the rug. By this I mean that if you are a paid member, you can see who've read and who've deleted your emails.

^No, I expect he's rejected people for having unclear or too few pix, and the rejectee has made a nuisance of himself.

My best friend is currently on Match.com, and she gets winks and introductions from extremely unsuitable men; she always politely rejects them, but some of these will very rudely respond to the rejection by insulting her..."don't think you're all that" and the like. Some people can't take rejection with grace.

While I understand the need for having a face picture simply because those guys with just torso or cock shots might be well hung or have great bodies but if they look like Rodney Dangerfield I would not be interested.

As R~M pointed out the total lack of grammar and suitable sentence structure is an instant turn off.

and more importantly, Manhunt is a waste of good webspace.
I went on Manhunt for a few weeks. I found nothing but losers and imbeciles. After 3 weeks of dealing with the same bullshit over and over I completely deleted my account never to return.

One of my friends still uses it and he wonders why he hasn't been able to find a good boyfriend.

Sometimes I feel like bad grammar is my #1 turnoff.

If a guy can't string together a few words into a proper sentence, I tend to lose interest pretty fast. Give me a wordsmith next door type any day over a hottie who's dumb as a bag of rocks.

What is ManHunt? I assume it's kind of a gay networking/dating site, like gaydar.com, or gay.com?

If so, i have a profile on gaydar, and no, first off i wouldn't reply to that profile. he seems like a dull and vapid human being, to be honest.

Now, with messages: well, i get a fair few messages, and gaydar limits the number of messages you can send. so i can't reply to everyone who sends a message, just like i don't always get a reply when i send a message to a guy i like.

I get some nasty comments and don't understand why it happens. if a guy said no to you in a club, would you proceed to insult and abuse him?

if someone gets upset when they're rejected, it's more a matter of self-esteem than anything else. I think there are two mantras to live by when it comes to dating/gay networking (because there are a lot of bad people on those sites):

(1) "The important thing is not what they think of me, but what I think of them." Queen Victoria; and

(2) "the great only appear great because we are on our knees. Let us rise.," by... hum, i can't remember.

keep those in mind, adopt a live and let live attitude, and you'll be fine. i just use gaydar to find friendship initially, and i think that's the best way to do it.

Manhunt is dull. So many better sites out there... mind you, they're England-specific it seems. Ladslads, for example. Brilliant site, I've met a load of great guys, and I still chat to a lot of them, but profiles from outside of England are few and far between.

Gaydar.co.uk is quite good too. Met my current 'romantic interest' there.

It's odd actually. Gaydar makes you pay for so many standard features, if you look at too many profiles in a day it starts blocking you, it's fiddly, it has far too many different parts that could so easily be brought together into a normal menu system, but the first guy I message on there turns out to be an awesome and really cute bloke who likes me back. *shrug*
