Many gay brothers in a same family?

My cats are gay...

Really!!!

My ex-boyfriend and his older brother are both gay. My friend in NYC and his fraternal twin brother are both gay. I also had another friend some years ago who was one of 3 boys and all 3 were gay. My ex-roommate in NYC is gay and so was his older brother. And finally, I was briefly shagging another guy who had a gay younger brother.

In my own family, while I have no gay siblings that I know of, lesbianism runs rampant on my mother's side as their are a large number of girls on that side. 2 of my cousins (first and second) are lesbians and my mother's younger sister is either bi or has fully embraced lesbianism, I'm not sure.

There are 5 boys in my family, no girls, we are all 2yrs. apart. My oldest brother was gay, my next to the oldest was bi, my other two brothers are straight as an arrow, and I, of course, am as gay as a picnic basket.

I have a friend who is bi, her sister is gay and their half-brother is also gay.

That amuses me, lol.

I know if my elder brother turns out to be gay, I'm going straight.

The last research I heard of is that if you have older brothers you are more likely to be gay. Something about the mother's hormones and the first boy slip through by surprise but then the mother's hormones don't react well to the testosterone and then you get more gay male babies.

I also recently read that most women are bi and most men are either gay or straight.

In my psychology book there was a section about the "third son" theory. Thats me!

i knew someone who was the older son and he is gay. the younger one isnt gay but liked theater. go figure!

One of my stepbrothers is bisexual. One of my stepsisters is too.

My grandmother is a lesbian. Does that count?

I'm also the oldest.

my ex was gay and his older bro was also of the homosexual variety.

As far as I know i'm the only special one in my family.

Just two boys in the family like me my older brother is gay.

I have a big family.
Siblings:
  • Step-Brother: 24 years old
  • Brother: 24 years old
  • Sister: 21
  • ME: 19
  • Brother: 16
  • Sister: 15
  • Half-Brother (Twin): 10
  • Half-Brother (Twin): 10

So far, no, I am the only one that is gay.

Christophe,

I have an English friend who is gay. So is his brother who lives quietly with his lover, a vicar.

I have another friend who is gay, and his sister is lesbian.

I have still another friend whose family was well established in colonial Georgia, and many diaries were kept by these educated people. About 1960, the younger ladies in the family came out as lesbians. Keeping in mind the family stories of bitchy wives and unhappy diary entries, it seems lesbianism has run in the family for more than two centuries.

i have 2 younger brothers, and the youngest one is bi-curious. the middle one is straight though

I can't name the research off the top of my head, but a couple years ago I read an interesting study that cited a highly disproportionate number of male twins (high-60s%, if memory serves) had the same sexual orientation.

The number was far higher than the law of averages would allow, if assumed to be completely random.
