My feelings about Next Door aside... I think the appeal of Marcus/Landon is that he is actually in so FEW scenes a year. Those scenes are usually "events" like Pizza Boy Gangbang and Getting Levi's Johnson. If he has is own site putting out four or five scenes a month how long is he going to keep that level popularity before people are saying its boring?
Not to mention since he identifies as straight then he will likely try to use the original Cody formula -with a little more gay action I'm sure. Then you can two "core" performers every month and a rotating group of performers. Instead of 16 to 18 Marcus solos a year then the subscriber would get half that but a better variety of scenes. I know they have a Next Door Buddies site but this would have two regular performers.
I doubt Next Door puts alot of stock in the opinions of subscribers. Next Door's business model has always been get them to sign up by using heavy promotion of pretty pictures and they will stay for a few months and then fuck them a new sucker will see the pretty pics and sign up in their place. I've never seen them address subscriber request or complaints in any way.
I think the era of the single personality website is over but then again I don't get why people still subscribe to Cody's site after all these years so I could be wrong.
