Last Sunday we went to see Mario Frangoulis http://www.mariofrangoulisandfriends.com/ at the Sanders Theater http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanders_Theater in Harvard Square. Man oh Man, what a voice on this man. The program "Amor" included Greek and Spanish songs. Most of the lyrics were translated poems by Federico Garcia Lorca. The gala was in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of his death. He also sang songs by Jose Maria Cano and an excellent rendition of Jacques Brel's "Ne me quittes pas"
It was a magical evening. Afterwards he came out to greet and chat with the guests. Jules took a picture with him which unfortunately is a very poor quality. Had I know he was going to meet people I would have taken the camera.
To think the only reason we bought his CD was because he is so cute.
