Who've watched this movie and what are your thoughts on it?

I just finished watching it and I absolutely loved it. No, it's not a masterpiece or anything like that...what made me love the movie was the emotional resonance it had in me. I cried so fucking much towards the end, I was sobbing...because it reminded me of my own dog that I had for 12 years, since I was 8yo, and how she died when I was 20yo...the slow decaying process, getting sicker and sicker, me witnessing her slipping away as time went by...this movie really resonated with that experience in my life and people who never had pets or lost pets won't understand how incredibly painful it is to lose such a friend, a member of the family.
It was just an adorable, beautiful, touching and simple movie about...well, something actually quite simple but nonetheless highly important.

Loved the movie and would recommend it...for dog lovers, people with dogs or people who've lost dogs...specially for the latter...this movie will hit home, big time!
 
Yeah, I saw the movie too. It made my eyes water a little; I cannot lie. I have a dog too and she's not with me right now, but she was so similar to Marley when she was growing. Right now, she's getting to the point where she is having issues with her health related to age, so I'm preparing for the day when I have to bury her.
 
I saw this movie. I was hysterical for the whole thing. The last 15 minutes of the movie were just... so sad. I was sobbing like to the point of embarrassment. I had nose juice everywhere on me! There wasn't a dry eye in the whole theatre.

Oh I lost it way before that. The second Marley got sick and he had to take him to the vet...the kids saying goodbye and Jenny's saying goodbye...and when John was saying goodbye to Marley in the vet, before him taking the shot to put him to sleep forever...towards the last 20 minutes of the movie, I lost it several times.
