Those silver jackets look just like something out of a 1950s film about the "future" hehe... I'm half expecting it to be stuffed with asbestos... you know, to fend off the extreme temperatures when living in one of the many colonies on the moon

Patagonia, Marmot or North Face all have similar looking nylon, bubble, sporty ski jacket looks. They are not designed for casual, trendy wear. But the fabrics are truly revolutionary and high tech when it comes to weight:warmth:water resistance factors. Too bad these companies don't focus on aesthetic looks of their products.
