"Bleeped or taken out from censors?" Did you actually listen to what he said, Jack? He never explicitly said Palin should have shit in her mouth. The words were never said. He alluded to it saying she was the best candidate to receive such treatment based on the actual horrors of slavery that he illustrated which had no relation to the comparison she made about our national debt. What the pundit was illustrating is the fact that to compare our national debt to slavery from the United States is stupid. What conservatives like her from another time period did to black people was appalling and incomparable.

Frankly, he had no reason to apologize. What comes out of her mouth is garbage as it is.

Thank you for (ONCE AGAIN) putting out this very crucial bit of information that all reactionists refuse to hear. WE own our debt, the Chinese just wanted a very minor piece of the pie.

I wont condone Bashir because I think the classlessness has ruined our politics in this country. The political parties are mortal enemies instead of faithful Americans with valid differing opinions. It is debilitating. To take offense at this though while never posting a thread of outrage at the rights statements about homosexuals is telling (and there are encyclopedias full of those statements not just a one or two off). So I fail to get outraged when a poster only gets upset by virtue of political alignment.
 
Perhaps with the antics of both Fox and MSNBC it is best to simply stay away from becoming a political tempest. That atmosphere appears to drag down those around them into partisan attack dogs with no real underlying purpose?

Still, it's unbecoming for a serious journalist to lower himself so crassly even though Sarah is a huge pain in the tookis. Same as anyone comparing Obama to Hitler, or anything outrageous. The political discourse in the country though has to improve from SOMEWHERE. I do as always appreciate Kyanimal's take...Jack, you do go too far at times. Still, you're far from the only one... but listen to Ky some.... he does try to impart the wisdom he's gained from experience to others, and to not let yourself get so influenced by the opinion of the activist right. Doesn't mean you have to become a left winger, just your own person. but there is NO shame if some of that person still values and exudes the best of mainstream conservative that has served as a pragmatic halt to the exuberant left. Just don't let your inner conservative blind you to the excesses of much of today's more radical "conservatism" which in many ways is ANYTHING but.

Well Jack, Bashir (and clearly stated so ) was quoting a diary of the of the slave overlord on the BRITISH island of Jamaica in 1750. Nevertheless the treatment was the same in Louisiana or Georgia .
So I guess its possible that other countries were involved in slavery.
