I don't think that King would be pleased, but I don't think that he would have supported a proposition to take away a legal right from any group either.
And if he would, then his legacy would be corrupt as well.
I also think that the premise of the original post is not accurate. The news isn't full of shreiking homos brandishing pitchforks and torches.
In the 1930's and in more recent history, the targeted populations that didn't protest not only lost their rights, but lost their lives. I say keep the volume turned way up. Let the world know how many homos there are out there and that they all can't be pushed back into the closet, while religious ignorant bigots of any race or affiliation develop the sense that they can control and oppress in accordance with their limited understanding of the very tenets of their religion.
