Spoiler Alert! Marvel's Deadpool [merged]

Re: Deadpool is Pansexual.

You could always let your fingers fly and Google search it.

Spoiler Alert in case you're feeling lazy - you're wrong.

Fetishes aren't generally considered a sexual orientation, unless half the board wants to start considering themselves Urolagnic (hell, pick a suffix of your choosing, m'not picky) instead of gay.

'Course, that's a bit of an exaggeration, 'half the board'. On the other hand I doubt your ass would be pleased if I started fucking with your orientation's definition.

....I mean, really, you couldn't type in the whole word? The fuck happened that you'd rather try'n dig, in vain no less, at the back of your brain for something witty?

You

Re: Deadpool is Pansexual.

I've been accused of a lot of things, but "feelings!" generally ain't one of them. So let's try this again.

Quit being a lazy little bastard by continually pulling your opinions outta your ass. Unless you enjoy everyone knowing you can't handle a basic dictionary, in which case I'm sure we'll have some real fun down the line. I always did love wordplay.

What was that about faggots and pedo predilection again? After all, we don't want to go by that pesky, actual definition of homosexuality, do we?

Re: Deadpool is Pansexual.

All this pandering towards lgbtq people does not seem genuine at all. Like don't make these character gay for me because I'm gay thinking I'm going to be interested in them. Of course, lgbtq comic book fans will probably be elated at Deadpool and all these characters coming out the closet. However, for people like me who aren't interested in this shit, it's not going to change anything. Still not interested in watching.

I heard Deadpool is crossdresser too

Re: Deadpool is Pansexual.

"Pan"-sexual, that 'pan'

That means he may like guys and girls, but also animals and inanimate objects too...

LOL very true, a lot of people who use the term 'pansexual' to describe themselves are simply just bisexual.

Yes someone can be bisexual or gay and have fetishes and all it means is that they have a fetish or may practise a certain kink with that fetish.

Re: Deadpool is Pansexual.

Deadpool as pansexual doesn't surprise me at all. I mean the guy frequently breaks the fourth wall so of course he'd be attracted to anything.

I suspect that no one is making a character gay just for you.

I know what you mean. It's nice that society is much more accepting than it used to be, but sometimes it just feels like people are only doing because they think it's trendy. It feels like the "blacksploitation" films of the '70s.

"Pansexual" really is nothing more than bisexual. People just made up a new sexuality because they don't think "bi" is interesting enough. Haven't you noticed all the people identifying as made-up genders and sexualities? "Pansexual" isn't as bad as a lot of other ones I've seen, but people who identify as made-up genders and sexualities and change identities like clothing really belittle gay and trans people.

Re: Deadpool is Pansexual.

I suggest looking up the differences between gender, sex, and social construction. It saves time. And claiming that trans people are making fun of themselves because you dislike some words is particularly special. Your concern trolling there needs a hell of a lot of work.

Very true.

"Pansexual" and other made up sexuality terms that only mean bisexual are belittling to people who are bisexual and out such as myself.

StarWarrior is correct, pansexual should instead be used to describe people who are ped0s or into having sex with animals.

It seems you take interest in things you aren't interested in often.

The article lucky just posted is pretty good on why people choice pansexual, it might actually help you think about it a bit more rather than just throwing out strange insults.

BISEXUAL has a thousand different definitions. When you’re first introduced to it, you probably got told it means something like “you like boys and girls”. Then, somewhere along the line, you found out that the gender binary isn’t real.

PANSEXUAL however, means attracted to (or has the ability to be attracted to, rather), people of all genders. Binary or not.

I'm pretty sure he would've had to have been in the closet in the first place in order to come out of it. Not everyone starts with a closet, some of us just go 'fuckit' and for the most part, say what we want. For comics it was pretty explicit, he ended up with Cable for a while. And if we're discussing comic depictions, his frienimies reactions were pretty accurate. That's usually what I get anyway, either bemused curiosity or bemused horror.

There's also no way in hell I'm the only one here who's never had a closet. There's this weird idea that everyone is straight until proven otherwise, blows my mind.

Re: Deadpool is Pansexual.

The article lucky just posted is pretty good on why people choice pansexual, it might actually help you think about it a bit more rather than just throwing out strange insults.

It's not a strange insult it's the truth. Look up the history of the term itself. It's just another term for being bisexual, as are many of the other terms people use that are just other terms for being bisexual like homoflexible, heteroflexible, demisexual, omnisexual, Gray-A, panromantic, etc.

So here is the end all be all interpretation of these terms. Other than Asexual, they are all subcategories of Homo and Bi Sexualties.
Pan and Flexible. These terms might assist bisexual people in articulating the degree of their attractions. But truth be told, people forget that the main subject involved is attraction to gender sex. I think both terms can help uneducated people better understand a bisexual persons level of sexual attraction. For example, I know bi women and men who are sexually attracted to the same sex but aren’t interested/able to have a relationship with the same sex. But the common ground is they have a varying degree of bisexuality.

Queer is not a sexuality. I know Straight people that consider themselves Queer. Personally I think it is borderline offensive to have even included Queer in the LGBT…. alphabet. I have never know anyone to fight for ‘Queer Rights’. And what would those legal inclusions entail. I understand that being a ‘Queer’, Countercultural, Fluid identifying person is a free and beautiful form of human expression that should be celebrated. But that is NOT a SEXUALITY. Again, those are subcategories.

Demi crosses sexuality period. Again, it’s another tool in helping to explain to the uninitiated the levels and degrees of sexual attraction. In this case this is a bisexual who needs to make an emotional connection first. This ISN’T something new. There are already gay and straight people that have to make an emotional connection first. Most straight women I know fall into that category.
Pan romantic is laughable. If they have romantic feelings but no SEXUAL attraction then it is NOT a SEXUALITY! I think it is delightful for people to have feelings. Bromances, Sisterhoods etc exist. There is nothing wrong with that and in fact people have been falling in love for all time. But do not muddy the waters with non sexual, emotional attachments.

Auto sexual…Well, what genitalia do they possess that they are attracted to about themselves? Do they have a vagina, penis or both? Again, another subcategory. And let’s not confuse this with masturbation.

Gray-A is such a joke it is beyond laughable.

The Kinsey Report touched upon the levels and degrees of bisexuality decades ago. These categories do much in assisting people who fall into the varying degrees of bisexuality to explain to people who do not comprehend bisexuality. They are the adverbs. Helping terms. These classifications exist but it is imperative that we are precise in these classifications. Otherwise we run the risk of diminishing gays/lesbians and Bisexuals alike. And Sociopoliticaly there are many who would like nothing more than seeing some variance that they can latch onto to further their cause of trying to discredit all of us.

Deadpool (Spoilers)

Thoughts on Deadpool?

I loved it, but I wish Daniel Cudmore came back as Colossus.

Also the Ryan Reynolds is hot as hell. *|*
