awww isn't that a blessed event, the dirty dyke is with child!

The article failed to mention that Mary's so-called "book" sold all of 1,100 copies...

Which book?

And that reminds me I have yet to look up Lynn's lesbian romance novel that she wrote.

Why all this vitrol to Lynne Cheney? Is it just because she campaign for her Dad and Bush in 2004 or is there something else I don't know.

Sorry I meant Mary not Lynne

Vitriol means something that is highly acidic, or a tone of voice due to the conversation topic being highly acidic/distasteful.

So Mary Chenney is a gay but also daughter of the vice president who is a republican. She campaigned and probally voted republican. So what? Free country and I am not surprised with her actions considering her family.

This is more illuminating and probably worth your distaste. The 2004 exit polls and the gay vote.

According to AP's National Election Pool exit polls in Florida, Pennsylvania and Ohio, 4 percent of voters self-identified as gay, lesbian or bisexual, 78 percent of whom said they voted for Kerry; 21 percent voted for Bush and 2 percent voted for independent candidate Ralph Nader. A CNN poll placed the GLB vote at 77 percent for Kerry; 23 percent for Bush.

I have no animosity to Mary Cheney because she is gay and campaigned for her family. I may disagree with her, but that is different from animosity.

Any truth to the rumor that Rick Santorum is the sperm donor?

i find the very thought of cheney pussy disturbing :(

i love it that the cheneys welcome their grandchild publicly

of course Dick has been spending all his time making mary's child illegitimate

if he would have supported gay marriage he may not be the proud grandfather of a child born out of wedlock

now?

the child will be grampy cheneys little bastard grand baby

you all know that is what all the republicans will think and some, like coulter, will even say it

is it me or is rolando's and andreus's post the only ones with any merit?

Andreus mentions the dilemma which is cheney's public/private position on the gay lifestyle

Rolando suggests some compassion for the daughter - such a thought

I see not much has changed

Maybe she played roulette:

1. Hired Haliburton to collect semen from 100 men she admires.
2. Collected $1,000 fee from each and split it with Haliburton.
3. Sent the mixture to Houston for a trip around the NASA centrifuge to get all the really studly sperm to the tip.
4. Inserted... and waiting.
5. After, they'll do a DNA test to see who the father is, but the information will be classified and not revealed until 2046.

Alfie, give Mary a break. You know it probably isn't easy being an openly gay woman when you are the daughter of the VP who is a Republican. She is torn between being loyal to her dad and standing up for gay rights. It was a dilema and she more or less choose her dad over being a gay rights activist. That was her choice. She should not be demonized for it. And so what if she said "fuck you" to John Edwards. He used her sexual orientation against her father and, by extension, her and she reacted. You have never told anyone to fuck off?

She is starting a family. Regardless of her politics, we should be happy for her.

happy for her?

i'd rather pound railroad spikes into my forehead

Will they ask the Revenend Jerry Falwell to batptize the the child?

Stephen Colbert did a bit the other night where he intimated that he was the father - very funny stuff

I know nothing about being a gay WOEman, open or otherwise. What I do know, Sir, and know for certain, is that one cannot be a Republican and a gay -- it simply cannot be. The outcome is a freak, which we see here on JUB with our so-called "gay Republicans" and we see now bastered and splashed all over Mary's private bottom areas -- her gentles, I guess one would call them.

Now, you have your opinions about her and they are opinions I do not share; I don't dismiss you for yours, please do not dismiss me for mine.

I have to take issue with "one cannot be a Republican and gay."

Now, I don't have much use for "Gay Republicans" who support the RNC's current party platform, because to use your logic one could not be a "Moderate and a Republican," or a "Progressive and a Republican," or for that matter an "American and a Republican" under it's current right-wing leadership.

Republican use to mean "fiscal conservative, balanced budgets, and a restrained foreign policy." Even as a Democrat I can support some of those concepts. :D Especially since those concepts are so completely foreign for what passes as a Republican today.

As for Mary Cheney? It's not her fault that her father Dick only supports her in word instead of action. Of course, at the same time, I don't think that it could hurt her in the eyes of the GLBT community if she stood up to that type of treatment. She hasn't, and now we've got this thread.

Maybe....her becoming pregnant will let the show other aspects of the effects of Republican "leadership" regarding Gay Families, and they'll see their own hypocrisy.

I doubt it, but there's always some glimmer of hope.

careful tex - you don't want to branded as an ultra conservative now - LOL

before u know it - POOF - you're in the cornfield

Mary Cheney is in a very tough spot - Daddy Darth is an extreme conservative in power - not easy being her for sure. I agree with u - she doesn't have to say/scream anything - it is actually more powerful IMO this way. People see if for what it is. Dick is not pro gay not is he? yet his daughter is gay and is having a child - god forbid. Very powerful stuff indeed

Silence can be a very effective communication tool

I got it totally sussed out, but since this turned into the active thread on the topic so I'll repost it here.
Give David Crosby a call.
Man that's gonna be one confused kid.
