Well, they had good intentions for the GOP, however the state of confusion that the GOP is apparently in has brought out the ID 10 ts. And the gay republicans here on this forum want the GOP to run this country.
Lord help us!!!!

Mass GOP Sues to Block Appt of Kennedy Replacement but Forgets to Actually Make an Argument

Posted by Oliver Willis, Oliver Willis.com at 12:02 PM on September 25, 2009.

They may not live in the reality-based community, but a judge apparently does.

Their bid to stop Paul Kirk from being sworn in as Senator was thrown out. Why?

Judge Thomas Connolly ruled that the Republicans’ claim was legally inadequate, noting in his four-page decision that, ‘the Party does not cite any case law in support of its argument.’ The GOP had maintained that Democratic Governor Deval Patrick overstepped his authority by declaring an emergency so Kirk’s appointment could be made immediately. Connolly ruled, however, that the state Constitution clearly gave the governor the power to call for the immediate implementation of a law by sending the secretary of state a letter.

What was the emergency. The democrats passed the law so they should have to abide by it. This is cheap and petty politics at its worst. This is truly sad.

Sigh. White Eagle, I just don't think Republican'ts realize:

"WE GONNA FIX YO' ASS!"

Dems aren't going to play "Mr. Nice Guy" anymore. Now what we REALLY need to do is get those damned FEMA camps built!

What is sad is you probably believe this. Do you seriously want to round us all up Hitler style. What's next you advocating sending us into poison showers. Wow just Wow.

Not hardly. What you need to do is pay attention to threads here in this forum or the news on just about any channel you want. Then you would see that the "camps" being discussed are the imagination of one of the northern congresscritters, "Mischelle Bachmann":

Bachmann Warns Of "Re-Education Camps" For Young People
By Eric Kleefeld - April 6, 2009, 2:15PM

In an interview on Saturday with local right-wing talk radio host Sue Jeffers, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) warned that the Democrats could soon be requiring America's youth to attend "re-education camps," where they will imbibe the philosophy of the government.

The target of Bachmann's ire is a recently-passed national service bill, expanding Americorps. Although Bachmann said that the language in the present legislation makes service voluntary, she warned that a "Democrat colleague" was proposing to make it mandatory.

There is a video of Mz Bachmann and her interview in case you find TPM too far left leaning.

What I'm wondering is what was the emergency in 2004 when they passed the very law they are circumventing now to prevent then Governor Romney from doing what Duval Patrick is doing now. Seems kinda sleazy.

That particular law, also pushed by Kennedy, was to prevent Romney (a Republican) from appointing a Republican replacement for Kerry - in case he won the presidency.

MA is notorious for fucked up republicans (not the zealot ones). I grew up in the most "conservative" district of MA and I feel bad to come from here. Neighbors call the police on each other for having parties on their 20+ acre estates even though they can't see nor hear wtf is going on. I think it's more jealousy. Back on topic, this whole senator thing is just screams bad politics and both sides know it. Democrats will get their way of course even though the republicans cry foul. It's the mob mentality where the majority (demos) are picking on the minority (repubs).

I see the hate-mongers are out in force.

The situation reminds me of what Ben Franklin pointed out, that democracy is like two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner.
Good thing the lamb is still armed.

I guess the GOP wants to change the rules and have Sarah Palin run for the senate seat.
